Smoothie King — Restaurant in Jackson

I rarely post reviews but I was so utterly frustrated at the lack of order and lack of consideration at this smoothie king location today. I online ordered a smoothie at 7AM and it gave me an ETA of 7:08AM. I had to be in Clinton for school around 7:45-8am. Perfect. I get to smoothie king around 7:20 only to find that my drink has not even been reviewed. There was one worker there so I sympathize in that, however, her attitude was extremely unprofessional. Regardless, as far as management goes, there should have been more people scheduled if it was expected to be a busy morning. There were 4 other people waiting with me, also in the same boat. AN HOUR LATER, I got my drink. My partner had to bring it to me since I could not be late to school. I will be calling management later to ask for either a refund or at the very least, an apology. Had the attitudes been better, I would have been more understanding. Terrible experience. I will always love smoothie king but not...

I would like to hear your opinion on my last visit.

On my last visit I noticed that the two young men working did not have on masks or wearing gloves while making the smoothies. I asked them both why the did not and they said, “they didn’t want to.” I asked about the City if Jackson requiring businesses indoors to wear them. I also reminded them that they were talking and serving open food. They said, “ CDC says masks are not needed and my mother is a nurse and she says it is not needed” I then asked “what does your boss say? And the answer was “he doesn’t care”. You have a notice on the door that if you have fever or symptoms do not enter and that you are asking for social distancing. I will not be able to come until masks are used. I love your Smoothies. Maybe another location understands...

Maybe it’s just a Jackson thing but why do all the stores just close 10/15 minutes before the posted time. It’s getting pretty ridiculous. I’ll add smoothie king to the list of stores with lazy workers who can’t keep the store open until it’s suppose to be. I suggest you change your hours to close at 8:45 since that is when the doors gets locked. It’s pretty bad to have your customers waste time and gas driving to the store to find it was not open even though it should be. Better suggestion would be to tell your employees to follow the damn store policies and stop being so lazy.
