Went in today for my sisters 16 year old birthday and boy did the restaurant completely ruin it for us all , we also had our mother and grandmother with us as well. As we walked in we waited longer than expected to even be greated. As we sat down the waitress seemed rude of the bat, but we ignored it so we all could have a good time. As we get further into our dinning experience our waitress gave me and my boyfriend pitchers of the mountain dew and my cherry Pepsi as to say she wasn't really "in the mood to bring refills" everytime we had a small request she acted as if it was just absurd that we were asking things such as "extra napkins and hot sauce" When the food came out my boyfriend had ordered a chicken enchilada but was instead brought a chicken QUESADILLA . We were not at all mad that she miss heard him just simply wanted the correct meal. His meal was then brought out 5 minutes after, so we could tell the food was rushed and not properly prepared. With that said it was absolutely disgusting and we let her know and she gave us attitude for asking if he could then get something new, she rolled her eyes . He decided then to get wings to go since we have already wasted so much time there. We had two separate bills (mine and my boyfriend on one"She told us a manger would come and talk to us and NO ONE ever did. She brought us our bills and charged us for my meal and a enchilada and rice she said that the wings and enchilada was the same price when my mom asked why he was being charged with the rice when he didn't eat any of it. She rolled her eyes and snatched it from my mother and took it off. As we get ready to leave my mom requested a manger again and a server/manger came to talk to her and as they talked our server rudly walked up to our conversation. The manger basically told us that we were wrong in the situation , even though I thought the "costumer is always right" We were simply trying to speak with a manger to let them know about our experience and were rudly turned away and told we were "banned" . I know this is not how our situation should have been handled because I am a server and see this situation happen all the time , I'm very upset with how everything went down and I will for sure make sure everyone...
Read moreA friend of mine's mother went into this place trying to pick up a delivery for Door Dash and was refused service because of the color of her ethnicity. Mind you that this is a respected woman in our county, and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. She was made to wait for 15 minutes before the manager came and told her "actually, you can leave. Get out. We're not serving you. If you don't go, I'll call the cops." After sitting in stunned silence for a moment she reiterated "LEAVE! Didn't you hear? We're not serving you!"
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a huge fan of this place to begin with. Their food is kind of bland, half of their arcade games don't work, and the place has a funky smell to it. But to openly refuse service to a woman because of her heritage is repulsive. Anyone, whether they're white, black, Indian, Muslim, Christian, gay, straight, Republican or Democrat should be able to go into a place and be treated with respect and courtesy. They shouldn't have to worry about being denied service because of the color of their skin, or what they're wearing on their head, or whether they're wearing a MAGA shirt or a BERNIE 2020 shirt. We're all human, we're all equal, and the fact that this place refused to serve someone because of her heritage is appalling.
The same day that this story broke, the Hunt Club took down their Facebook page. You may be able to take down a Facebook page because you're getting blasted for your racist employees and policies, but you can't tear down your Google listing or your Yelp listing or your TripAdvisor listing - - - the good people in this city will make sure they're heard.
Do NOT support this place. Ever. An amazing woman was put through unnecessary trauma just for trying to do her job. The Hunt Club and it's lackluster menu can close their doors forever as far as...
Read moreI am a Latina woman who faces discrimination on a somewhat regular basis, but this place takes the cake, let me tell you. Racist employees, straight up. We had a horrible experience at the Hunt Club. This lady, if you want to call her that, came up to my grandma and I and told us it would be about 15 minutes before we could have a table. Then we saw three groups of people come in after us who were taken right to tables, and all of them had more people than our party.
When I said something about it, the woman just gave me an attitude and said "wait your turn."
I was trying to wait my turn, but she let three other parties of 3, 3, and 5 sit before us. Finally after about 20 minutes, she led us back to the VERY back of the restaurant and pretty much tossed our menus on the table and said "your waitress will be here soon."
Another 10 minutes went by and nothing. It was like we were segregated from the rest of the venue. Then we saw 2 MORE parties come in who were led to their tables and had their drinks before anyone even came to take our drink order. Finally we had had enough! After seeing 5 parties come in and get their drinks before we were even greeted by a waitress we stood up and left. Nobody even acknowledged our exit.
All 5 parties who were served before us were WHITE families. It's not the families fault, trust me, but there's no denying that this hostess / manager / demi-Goddess took great pleasure in making sure that the white families were taken care of while we were tossed in the back of the restaurant like some form of illegal immigrants. We're perfectly legal, for the record. My grandmother was legally born in this country back in 1932, and I am a 3rd generation native-born citizen of the USA, a country I love despite having to deal with garbage like this place from time to time. Avoid,...
