I had near exactly the same experience as Robin. I ordered October 7 and paid extra so that I would have delivery by the 14th. That was what was advertised on my checkout page. Due to Columbus Day the package was not picked up for shipping until the end of business on Tuesday the 12th. The webpage advertised the company would use either USPS or Fed Ex. One would expect that from Michigan to Western NY either method could have gotten a package to me in four days but USPS ground shipping went from Jackson MI to Mobile AL back to Rochester NY before coming to me late on Monday the day after the party. I started talking to Tara G the customer service rep via email mid-week while my package was still in transit and she gave me verbatim the robotic explanation provided to Robin last year. Tara G. is helpless to do anything to actually resolve a problem- this company truly doesn't care if you receive your package in time. I asked twice to have my complaint escalated to a manager or legal but it's all on Tara G. -- she is the one who answers the phone and her manager only is there part time and doesn't return messages. She is the only person to respond and she is powerless and believes or has been told it is impossible for a business to refund shipping costs or even split the difference in shipping to mitigate a customer's loss. Clearly the manager or the owner do not value business relationships or this business is running on a shoestring and has zero margin to cover an error. A business that cares will work outside of their confusing, contradictory and misleading web page statements to fix a problem or make you whole. As Robin filed her comment last year you would have thought a decent company would have appreciated the feedback and fixed the contradictions regarding shipping on their page. The company has offered a merchandise refund if I ship the package back but refuses to cover shipping costs so I will be out twice the shipping costs if I return the product or else be out the cost of the merchandise I had to replace at the last minute. I'm very disappointed in this experience. I have thrown over 30 parties in the last ten years and am a repeat customer for many business. When I contacted the company they said, "The shipping method that was selected was 3 business days. The shipping day does not count as a transit day. It shows on the tracking that it will be delivered to you today which would be in the 3 business day time frame. We are unable to issue a refund due to the package getting to you on time. I apologize for any inconvenience. Enjoy your day.". Even if a transit day was included i should have had my package on the 5th. When I checked out on the day of purchase, it said my package would arrive on the 5th. I wouldn't use this company because their system was dishonest, and customer service was unwilling to do anything about the package...
