We did a drive through order around 630p We ordered two meals and one frosty. The person taking our order tonight appeared polite and patient through the ordering process even though there was a steady line of patrons. The first window was open, the staff didn't verify the total before I handed my card to them. I verified the total and they whispered yes. They gave me the card back, I said thank you have a good night and they barely whispered thank you. I hope this is just a case of a shy person challenging themself and trying something new to gain social skills.
We were not greeted at the second window. This turned out to be the same person that took our order. He gave us our drinks hurriedly and a couple minutes later stuck the bag of food out and said "here". I quickly looked in the bag to skim it over and make sure all food was there, as one does when there is a long line if cars. I did not see the chili in the bag at first as everything else was piled on top of it. I quickly asked if the chili was in the bag. The man yelled to his coworker and asked if the chili was in the bag. Coworker politely stated yes it was in the bag. The man, snapped "yeah" over his shoulder at me with a short, curt, annoyed tone, shap enough that it caught my husband's attention. My husband said "Hey, that response was uncalled for". The man kept his back to us. I politely but loudly said, to his back because he had yet to turn around, "Thank you, but next time you don't have to be so disrespectful because I wanted to ensure I had all my food before I left"
I understand fast food service is a stressful, thankless, and underpaid job. But don't take your frustration out on the customers. Especially ones who are being kind, respectful, and trying to make your night a little less stressful. I wish I would have caught this young man's name, but his back was to us most of the time. I would strongly recommend more training in proper customer service for him.
We have never had issues at this Wendy's before and actually prefer to patron this location over the others in town. But I am definitely going to give pause before possibly...

Read moreLobby frequently closed without explanation during business hours. Employees are apathetic at best rude at worst. Had a terrible experience where I walked to the store to pick-up an order and was forced to weave around cars in the drive thru on foot to retrieve it. There was a free employee sitting on his phone in the closed lobby who refused to grab my food instead instructing me to walk through the drive thru. When I got to the window there was a red headed woman working the window who was entirely rude, hostile, and confrontational. Sending pedestrians thru the drive thru, especially when it is full of cars, is a huge safety liability to the company and had I been hit I likely would've gotten more than a free sandwich. Not the first time I've had to do it, but it was the first time when there were cars present and the hostility from the employees was uncalled for. Not sure why the lobby was closed they appeared to have plenty of people based on what I saw in the drive thru window. Make the trip to Culver's you'll...
