9/2022 Update Still my #1 spot based on affordability and homestyle quality cooking. The best part is they open at 7a! Makes sense they close at 3p. For less than $12 I get a large cafe con leche, 2 eggs, slices of bacon, toasted slices of cuban bread, and a load of sliced potato hash. Despite the distance to get to, I’d rather head here then go to a nearby latin spot in PV that charges $6.50 for a large cafe con leche. Costs $20+ for the same meal.

I recently dined at a humble, dive-style restaurant. The forecast called for a Cuban lunch. My selection was the pork accompanied by plantains and rice. In my opinion, the dish was deficient in flavor. Conversely, the portions were enormous. Inside, the restaurant was bustling, while a small table outside provided seating for two. A food truck was positioned in the parking lot, directly in front. I plan to investigate this option during my next visit. The staff exhibited a friendly demeanor. This is VERY authentic Cuban cuisine. The people who run this are so sweet and efficient. Super clean establishment and speedy service but the food is POW! AMAZING! We had the Croqueta con Pan....my first time having it and I was HOOKED!!! It has mayonnaise...which I dislike but it was still delicious! Sad I only have one stomach ....if not I would have eaten so much more! We bought 20 croquettes for our party that day! Yum yum! My cafe con leche and tostada made my heart so full.
