DO NOT SEND ANYTHING BACK!!! READ YOUR BILL TO AVOID BEING CHARGED FOR THINGS YOU DIDN"T ORDER!!! Well, this USED TO BE our favorite place for brunch. Thanks to Server Cami and whoever answered the phone afterwards (more on that in a minute!) WE WON'T BE GOING BACK! I ordered a Secret Bene with turkey sausage instead of pork (due to an allergy). She missed the order and brought a Secret Bene with pork and a side order of turkey sausage. When I said "this isn't what I ordered" she said "l misheard that.... I can have them remake that for you, no problem!" And whisked my plate away. 10 minutes later, while my wife is trying to wait to eat so we can eat together, Cami brings back THE SAME PLATE. They didn't even bother to disguise the fact it was just shuffled! (The sauce had tong marks in it!) Needless to say, after 10 minutes it was COLD and my poached eggs had set. Alright, I'm disappointed BUT I didn't say anything. Server brings the check and SHE TRIED TO CHARGE US FOR THE TURKEY SAUSAGE AS A SIDE! I turned around in my seat to see if I could get someone's attention, but everyone seemed to be occupied. The server saw me from behind the back counter and hustled over and without being prompted said "I can take that charge for the turkey sausage off your bill, let me do that now" and went to get a different bill. (It was apparent that she thought she knew what the complaint was going to be!) Now, the restaurant is busy, and my wife is a very kind person, so I didn't want to cause a stink, I just thought I'd call later and speak to the manager. Calm and civil, right? I called at 1:45 and asked to speak to the manager and was told, "No, we are really busy and the manager is in the kitchen cooking......call back after 2....we close at 2." Calm and civil........ I called at 2:32.....it went to voicemail..........called again, and again......FINALLY got the same person as before, who said "no, we're trying to clean the restaurant and get the rest of these people out of here, we need 25 to 30 minutes more....." I asked if the Manager was the only cook, and was told there were three people cooking......I was speaking to a female, and suddenly a male voice said "can I help you?" It took 3 direct questions to find out that Scott (the person I was speaking to) was indeed the manager.......So I'm thinking a random server picked up the phone or the female who answered in the first place was lying to deflect a complaint. Read moreI went here today for the first time. I've been craving fried green tomatoes and I had heard that this was the place to get them. I looked online and menus for this location at several websites listed a fried green tomato sandwich as a menu option. So I went in and ordered one but was told that they don't have them, it's only a once-in-a-while special. So, that was disappointing. She said I could get a fgt burger. I asked if I could get it without the burger and she said yes, but I would have to pay full price for it. I finally found a bacon, lettuce, and fgt on the menu and ordered that with a side of kettle chips to go. I didn't have to wait very long and aside from what I'm going to discuss below, the service was friendly and polite and efficient. I bet the kettle chips are fantastic when they are eaten fresh at the restaurant, but be warned they don't travel well. I had almost a 15 minute ride. A few of these were crispy and delicious, many of the rest of them were not as crispy but still pretty good. I ate most of them, anyway. Good enough. As for the sandwich...it was OK. I honestly couldn't even really taste the fried green tomatoes I'd been so looking forward to; the bacon was overcooked, and there was barely any of the onion jelly and red pepper mayo on it. I couldn't taste those at all. Overall, it was bland and nothing to get excited about :-( it wasn't awful, but it wasn't great. On a side/personal note about a fried green sandwich 'not being available'...obviously, it was available at one point. You have fried green tomatoes all the time, it's one of your main 'things'. You have all the other ingredients needed to put together a fried green tomato sandwich. It's not a wildly outlandish thing to ask for. If someone asks for one, I don't understand what would be so hard about making it. It honestly seems petty and controlling to me, and maybe not a good customer service practice. I'm trying to think of a reason why such a sandwich would be difficult to make and I'm having a hard time coming up with anything. While I waited for my bacon. lettuce, and fgt sandwich, I thought to myself, 'this better be a really great sandwich'. It wasn't. I'm not sure if I'll be back or not. I know all the other reviewers can't be wrong, but I was definitely not impressed on my...
Read moreEva has always been nice to me and the food is always great. I really like working with eva. She deserves a raise. Angie, however, not so much. I called and placed an order for eggs Benedict, with bacon. Not only was I NOT told what the total was over the phone, but I was told that the bacon was already on there when I went to pay when I asked why it was so much. She didn't even seem like she wanted to help. Then about 10 minutes later my food still was not done, and when I asked AGAIN if she could have the bacon taken off because my food wasnt ready, she said it was already on there and the (hollondaise) sauce was too. Needless to say I am very upset. Eva is the only reason I'm giving this restaurant an extra start. Also, I told angie I wanted strawberry jam and butter, and I got my jam but I got ketchup instead of butter. Nothing i ate in my breakfast would go with ketchup. Because of this I am never eating here again. Angie also did not give me my discount as she should have, Eva knows when to give me my discount, I even mentioned it, but she did not try to ask, talk, or even mention it once. Seeing as that I am a regular customer and that i work next door, this is very disappointing. However I will still happily take my business elsewhere to avoid this from happening again. Added note: to say that I will never eat here again now seems like it was a little overboard. Yes I had a bad experience and was highly disappointed, but the food is always good, and it's in a convenient location. That said, I will probably only work with Eva. (Also thank you to the owner who...
