Very unprofessional; DO NOT SELL/TRADE YOUR ITEMS HERE. The staff have no idea what they’re talking about unless it’s GI JOE or die-cast model cars. They refuse to look at the pieces you bring individually, preferring to just give you a low-ball number for your entire lot; and they will give you attitude if you try to argue the total value.
Walked in with about $300 dollars in items that I was hoping to snag $80-100 for, which is fair. During the conversation I had with a MASKLESS employee, I was asked if I was “Hispanic”, my boyfriend (who is darker skinned) was constantly eyeballed by the clerk like he was a thief, and it felt like we were just being pushed out of the store, as if the employee didn’t want to serve us at all, even though the place was empty. He didn’t seem to believe the prices of the items I brought in and refused to check on eBay, or anywhere really.
Never had this kind of experience at a collector’s shop before. Looked around too, and the selection is very limited. If you don’t like GI JOE, then you’re outta luck. The other reviews here are so positive, glowing, and well-written, not to mention all posted around the same time, that it makes me suspect that the management here bought some reviews off of Fivver or someplace.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. You will get better prices (either selling or buying) almost...
Read moreLet's get to the point of why this is a five star vintage toy store for me; Obscurity!
There really hasn't been a time that I walked into this store and walked out empty handed. I always seem to find something I've either wanted or just thought was something worth adding to my collection!
It has a lot of toys people are into these days; G.I. Joes, Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel Legends, Power Rangers, and basically anything you can think of! It's very 80s and 90s heavy when I look around at both toys and comics...but that is what I'm drawn to. So for you to walk into the store you may pinpoint something I have overlooked.
Honestly, if you want to go to a toy store that has just about everything both older and newer; You should check out this place!
It's both a pleasing atmosphere of collectibles and the staff have always been worth interacting with. Even if you don't know something they try to help and when they don't know something; They admit it and ask if you know anything. That's rare and honestly it's why I keep coming back!
This is a place worth visiting with people worth supporting!

Read moreThis toy store is so packed! It’s very well organized despite the enormous selection of toys both old and new mind you. The Forgotten Toy Box is relatively small as a store, so this is why it seems absurdly packed. There are toys for people of all ages, from young to the adult collector. With a ton of action figures, LEGO, and toy lines, this store is a must for any toy collector.
The only real issues or gripes with this store come down to pricing. Many of the store’s prices are good, even great at some points. Where The Forgotten Toy Box flounders is in the toys that are not complete, or even broken. There are toys that are either broken or missing most or all of their accessories (mainly Power Rangers and MOTU but some others) that are priced steeply, especially for not even being complete.
The Forgotten Toy Box is nevertheless a good toy store. It’s nice, clean, and inviting. Despite an arcade machine that endlessly loops the theme of Teenage Mutant Turtles, it feels wonderful to be in. Stupendous store with...
