Only thing that is delicious is the artichoke tea that I will be coming back for. I'm Vietnamese so I know how a banh mi is supposed to taste. I was excited to finally try this place out, I really wanted to like it. I ordered the B1. Banh mi dac biet, my bf had the same, and my son had the B2. Grilled pork banh mi. I asked for no jalapeños for my son's banh mi but I guess the employee didn't hear me because he kept cutting me off while I was placing my order at the speaker and wouldn't let me finish speaking before talking over me and asking me if I wanted jalepenos at the same time I was telling him no jalepenos. Same with the thai tea that I ordered for my son, I said can I get a thai tea no boba as he was asking if I want boba. Annoying how he wouldn't let me finish talking. Anyway so we park the car and start eating, a few bites in, my bf says what I was thinking first... I don't want this anymore it's old. I was like me either honestly! We expect banh mi to be fresh, that's how its supposed to be eaten. This banh mi was not fresh out of the oven and tasted like it was prepared earlier in the day. The veggies were also soggy and didn't have that crispy crunch that you should experience while eating a banh mi. The portion of ingredients was off which is important to how the banh mi tastes overall. The bread wasn't fresh so it just ruined it and it was a smaller in proportion to the meat because of its slender size. There was way too much daikon or pickled carrots in it that were soggy when they should be crispy and because there was so much it made the banh mi soggy and the flavor overpowered everything else. We didn't finish our banh mi and went to popeyes instead. Do yourself a favor and go to Q Cup right across the street. The worst banh mi I've ever eaten in my life. Customer service is lacking as well, said thank you as I left the drive thru to the already annoyed looking cashier who was upset when he had to repeat my total and he...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️🌜 3.5-Star Review for BANH MI & PHO – A Solid & Unique Experience!
I’m always open to trying new things, and my visit here was definitely an adventure! I ordered the Paris Tea ($8-$9), and while it wasn’t overly sweet or bitter (which I appreciated), the texture wasn’t quite my favorite—I’m picky about textures, so that’s the main reason for my 3.5-star rating. That said, the fruit chunks and lime added a nice freshness! The price felt justified because the drink came in a high-quality reusable container with a secure, movable lid—perfect for walking around the strip without spills.
What I Liked:
Unique & Balanced Drinks – The Paris Tea was flavorful without being too sugary, and the fruit pieces were a fun touch.
Great Location – Conveniently placed near the awesome EBISU Asian store and close to the walking river (perfect for a stroll after eating).
Clean & Efficient – The restaurant was tidy, and service was straightforward—just be ready to order quickly since it’s not a sit-down, full-service spot.
Delicious-Sounding Options – The Vietnamese egg rolls smelled amazing, and my friend loved them so much he went back for seconds! (I couldn’t try them due to pork, but they looked fantastic.)
What Could Improve:
Texture Sensitivity – If you’re particular about textures (like me), some drinks or dishes might not be your favorite.
Limited Guidance for Newbies – The menu is great for those familiar with Vietnamese cuisine, but if you’re a first-timer, you might need to research beforehand or ask questions.
Overall a good spot for bold flavors and quick bites, especially if you’re already in the area visiting EBISU or the riverwalk. I’d return to try more dishes (maybe a banh mi next time!), but I’ll stick to drinks with smoother textures.
3.5/5 – Enjoyable with a few...
Read moreI came here a couple days ago— on a Saturday if I’m not mistaken— to try out one of their boba tea drinks. As someone who is completely new to this restaurant, I was asking the girl who answered me at the Drive By questions about the items on their menu. She answered me in such a rude manner and made me feel like an idiot for not knowing certain things about their drinks. For clarity, I asked about the Thai Tea and the Teas in general— if they had caffeine and what kind of teas they used— and she replied saying along the lines of “It’s tea so it obviously has caffeine” and other stuff in just a completely rude manner. I’m not one to take time out of my day to write reviews— especially negative ones— and I understand people have bad days at times but I was just disappointed with the service I was given that day. I don't believe her tone was necessary. Now I’m not sure if the girl who answered me at the Drive By was the same person who greeted me when I pulled up to the front because the girl who took my card and handed me the receipt was nice. Either way, I understand it may have been an “obvious” question but every restaurant is different and I don’t believe there was any harm in me asking and the girl answering me politely. If this is how the workers treat new and future potential loyal customers here, I’m not sure if I will be returning. On the other side, the drink itself was good hence the 4 star on the...
