I have to update my review based on the way we have been treated by the staff at this restaurant as of late. They used to be friendly but recently the owner's wife refuses to even talk to us anymore and she glares at us from the bar when we eat there. My wife ordered an enchilada and she told me it was cold like it came out of a refrigerator. Like others have posted, since we noticed the wife's behavior, our food bills have exceeded what they should have cost. When they bring you the bill, the itemized receipt is just a bunch of dollar figures like those old-school registers create so it's hard to figure out what you are being charged for. Even though, they say they offer a military discount, I have a feeling this is why we have gotten so much passive-aggressiveness from the wife. We have always been polite but who knows what her deal is. The last few times we went, when we would ask for a discount, the bill never added up correctly and overall, the price mysteriously has gone up. It's really hard to find decent Mexican places in Jacksonville so it's sad that this place has decided to be so petty and lose...

I took a friend here for lunch, me and my friend were the only other people here besides ONE MAN at the table next to us. We weren't served any silverware or asked about drink refills the entire time we were there. Our server didn't even bother to check at all after we received our meals. But the lone man next to us got served silverware and brought a refill automatically without asking once. I would tell you what the difference was between us and the lone other customer in the store, but you probably guessed it already. When the lady came and got the check she told us bye and walked off didnt even ask if i wanted change. I gave her 30 bucks for a 17 dollar lunch. I let her keep the change, almost tipping what the full order was worth. But I will NEVER eat there again. No paying customer deserves to be treated that way.

P.s. - The server was the oldest Hispanic woman server there and the tannest. She sits behind the bar and...

This was our first visit on the recommendation of a friend I am glad we took their recommendation. They were very busy and it was obvious this place was popular. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was fabulous and took very good care of us. In spite of being busy the food came out very quickly. Everything appeared to be fresh and hot And was very tasty. There were seven in our group and our waitress never missed a beat. The manager came by our table at least three times to check on us and make sure we had everything and our experience was good. He was out on the floor and actively engaged in everything that was going on. I really like it when I see a manager working the floor like he was doing. And he wasn't just ordering folks around he was taking care of things as needed. I highly recommend this restaurant and I hope your experience is as good...

Hands down, Mi Rancho is my top Mexican restaurant in the city! I've been here (and brought friends and my partner here) about 7-8 times so far and the food has always been fresh, piping hot, and excellent. Next time, I'll take a picture of the fajita taco I got. It was HUGE, y'all!! I almost didn't finish it, but I powered through lol I can't recommend them enough. No kidding, I purposely try other restaurants to see if they can compare, and in this past year, I have yet to find any other Mexican restaurant that can come close to Mi Rancho. Highly recommend! UPDATE: Definitely my top Mexican restaurant in the city. I've added pictures of the Pollo Relleno and the Fajita Quesadilla meals

Was not a fan. For some reason my tacos had a chemical taste to them, couldn't figure out if it was the cilantro or the tortillas. Ended up just picking out all the meat and eating that. Service was fast and friendly. Hubby said his fajita quesadilla was good, but compared to others he's had around town, it just didn't stack up to the many other options around. I'd like to give another try in the future just to see if it was a fluke. Sadly, it probably won't be any time soon. Hoping the chemical taste was a me thing and not a them thing, but I eat cilantro ALL the time and it's never had a chemical / soap taste to me. So, we'll see.

It's honestly amazing, though it's more lively during lunch hours or at night it's still pretty good. The service was great we got our tables pretty quickly, even though I don't like onions I ate the tacos de birria and liked it but cause I just got from school and my lunch is at 12:30 I was already somewhat full but my mom and grandma liked it so 10/10 would come again someday (sorry for the bad picture)
