Dropped by this dime after doing some late-night Google map food scout scrolling. After seeing all the wonderful reviews, I knew I had to check them out for myself and boy am I glad I did.
I went with a couple of friends and we all tried different things on the menu. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl and when I talk about the complete meal, this is IT. Chicken was absolutely tender and flavorful, topped on a big serving of yellow-spiced rice. This all comes together beautifully with their signature cilantro sauce. Even pair this beautiful arrangement with a fresh salad that is crisp, ultra light and the cherry on top if you will.
Chicken sandwich was insanely tasty! I’ve been secretly looking for a chicken sandwich that isn’t chick-fil-a. Crunchy spicy skin on the chicken yet with a tender juicy inside, bun has that signature char-grill and I’ll finish this off by saying it blew Chick-fil-a out the water imo (I said what I said).
Last thing tried was the Falafel wrap and fries. This was the first real time I tried Filafel and what a great first experience it was. They mash up the Filafel to where you have the softness of it but still get the good crunchies of that crispy outer shell. I could’ve inhaled this outrageously fast if I wasn’t already filled by that bowl earlier. Won’t dive too deep into the fries but they had plenty flavor and refuse to be ordinary themselves by any means aka they were yummy.
Prices are all on the slight higher side but far from “expensive” and they are all 100% justified by the delicious masterpiece of flavorful food you are getting and the huge portion sizes of each dish, these people are GENEROUS with their serving sizes. One order of an entree will leave you happily stuffed and/or guarantee you some leftovers. I’m a big fitness guy too so this has clean gains written all over it and I couldn’t be happier with this restaurant discovery.
Lastly, all the staff take pride in their establishment and the high standards they set for themselves. They made sure to check on us while we dined and were genuinely happy to be there and serve their customers. Big local business W all around! I will be a frequent flyer here and I advise you all come check the hype out for yourselves as well.
(PS - Sorry for not including pictures but I literally NEVER write reviews so that should tell you something...

If you’re in Jacksonville and looking for an unassuming spot packed with authentic Mediterranean and Moroccan flavors, EZ Eatz By Yaya is the place to go. This cozy, diner-style restaurant may be small, but it delivers big when it comes to flavor, warmth, and a personal touch that’s hard to find.
The standout of our visit was the shawarma. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender, juicy perfection, it was everything you’d want from this classic dish. Served with fresh pita bread and a selection of crisp vegetables and tangy sauces, it was a flavor explosion that made every bite better than the last.
What makes this place truly special is its dedication to authentic Moroccan cuisine. Among the highlights of our meal was the bisara soup, a Moroccan specialty made with pureed fava beans. It was hearty, creamy, and deeply satisfying, with a simple yet rich flavor profile enhanced by olive oil and a sprinkle of spices. This comforting soup felt like a warm hug and set the perfect tone for the rest of the meal.
We also indulged in the chicken tagine, a traditional Moroccan dish cooked slowly with preserved lemons and olives. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce had a depth of flavor that only comes from authentic, time-honored cooking techniques. Paired with their fluffy, perfectly cooked couscous, this dish was a standout.
The diner-style setting adds a relaxed, casual charm. It’s a small space, but that only enhances the experience, making it feel intimate and personal. The staff was friendly and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and ensure we had everything we needed. You could tell they genuinely cared about delivering not just great food but also a welcoming atmosphere.
EZ Eatz By Yaya is the kind of place that surprises you in the best way possible. From the phenomenal shawarma to the comforting bisara soup and the unforgettable Moroccan tagine, every dish is crafted with care and authenticity. It’s not just a meal—it’s a journey into the heart of Mediterranean and Moroccan cooking.
If you’re in Jacksonville and craving bold, authentic flavors in a cozy, down-to-earth setting, this is the spot. Don’t let the small size fool you—EZ Eatz By Yaya is a culinary powerhouse that will leave you full, happy, and planning...
Read moreThe wife and I stopped by earlier today for the first time. This place has been on our list for quite some time now so we made the drive. I’ll start by saying I’ve never really dabbled in mediterranean. Guys, the smell that meets you at the front door is enough to trip over.
Nice, clean, smaller set up with the kitchen pumping out food right in front of you. I’ve worked in many open kitchen concepts and there is nothing better than being able to watch these guys thrive through a rush with the pure passion they put in their food.
Every dish that came out that kitchen was perfection, trust me I watched every one go out. Everyone surrounding us, including ourselves looked like they enjoyed their meals. Price and portions are highly reasonable.
So I’m a sucker for a good chicken sandwich. I’ve seen the pictures and reviews of Yaya’s crispy chicken sandwich. Low key I already knew what I was ordering but couldn’t tell the wife. (She says branch out but I say Chicken Sammies are life) y’all already know I’m going to say the same thing as everyone else. 🔥 🔥 🔥 10/10. Period. That sauce is life. One, if not the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying. Not to mention I saw tons of those boys cranking out the kitchen.
We also ordered spicy hummus. We love spice. If you are scared of deliciousness do not order this or you will cry because your mouth is on fire. The crew paid attention to the customers and offered extra pita (fluffy and delicious) for the hummus because my wife was stingy. I would recommend maybe offering celery/carrot/cucumber/etc as an option also for dipping (if they do that my bad I didn’t ask) No matter what: 10/10
The wife ordered the shawarma fries with beef. By the look of her face I could tell it was fantastic. I tried a piece of the beef which was flavorful and tender. Everything was well rounded and on point. Did I mention the fries are great by themselves?
We’re planning on going back to try something different this time but definitely recommend 💯 that beef and lamb shawarma wrap will be my next victim.
Oh don’t skip the Mango juice 😉
Yaya you killing it! Thanks for the...
