Bap Bowl Korean Food — Restaurant in Jacksonville

You pay first, which is fine, but if you're paying with a card, it asks if you would like to tip.... I generally am a good tipper, so I included a nice tip up-front -- I regret doing so.

Decided to get the build-your-own bowl, which is $14, and consists of the following:

choose your base; and choose three proteins; and choose five veggies

OK, so, I chose a base of fried noodles, and the girl put some noodles into the rather large bowl, and I'm thinking "they'll probably load it up when we get to the veggies."

Next, I chose my proteins, and the girl put one of each protein into the bowl.... not one scoop of each protein -- one PIECE of each protein....

And then we get to the vegetables, and the girl put one of each vegetable into the bowl.... not one scoop of each vegetable -- one PIECE of each vegetable (except for the corn -- I think she gave me about seven kernels of corn), but you get the idea.

Does the food taste good? Yes, I will give them that.

Will they ever get another dollar of my money?

The menu was enticing and had a good variety, The food, while delicious, was a little disappointing as there was almost half of an egg shell in my Create Your Own bibimbap. I was absolutely tearing into my meal and enjoying every bite until then I got to that unpleasantly crunchy mouthful, and ended up not being able to finish it (it was covered in sauce so I didn’t notice until I bit through it).

It’s not enough to stop me from trying different dishes the next time I pick up a meal while grocery shopping, but just not the best first experience and I probably will avoid ordering anything with an egg in the future. I highly recommend the bulgogi pork belly though. That...

Tucked inside the RDI international food market is a unique gem. We got the Cumin spiced beef and chocolate fried wings. Two dishes I have never seen before. I’ve had cumin beef from a Chinese restaurant before, and I would say taste about the same, but their beef is a higher quality and more juicy.

We asked them what wings we should get and they suggested the chocolate fried wings. Boy they are good, and don’t worry they don’t taste just like milk chocolate. Just a savory delicious taste. You should absolutely go here, you get the food fast and it’s so well prepared and great quality.
