Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Wow!!! So sad to have to say this....but it was the worst experience in the last year or two. My wife and i decided to have lunch at 330pm at the san pablo store. Take out. We LOVE this restaurant and go there every time we want BBQ. Never had an experience like this. Everything we ordered was wrong. It is like they never listened to me. They sure wanted my $33 dollars though. The bbq salad was not prepared correctly, we asked that we need extra bell peppers and absolutely no cheese. It came loaded with cheese and 1 pepper. Most of all we ordered double meat and only had enough scraps to maybe clear the cutting board. NO DOUBLE MEAT! The sweet tea was packed with so much ice, there was barely any tea in it. Maybe a swallow. The double meat platter was cold, barely enough meat on that as well. They must be running out of food. CHEAP!!! The 2 orders of fries were correct, but not cooked all the way and cold.....need i go on? The worst eperience i have had there, especially since they were not busy. If this is what they have resorted to. We will go elsewhere for...

I'm sorry to say but after eating here for over 20 years and finding out there are new owners and after coming home from a meal and spraying water in the toilet and my wife spraying water in the toilet for 2 hours I'm disappointed. The food is cooked Outback in a smoker. And then it sits on trays and kept in a warmer and then they throw a few pieces on the pit to make it look like they're smoking and cooking all the food on the pit. This is not true. The food is not smoked on a pit and the food is not legit anymore. After eating there for the last year off and on keep trying to give it another chance. I have found out the place has gone downhill. I sat at the bar and saw that the food is very often not kept to temperature and it is often either overcooked or undercooked with no consistency. Smaller portions and lower quality and inconsistent quality and food handling are why I'm writing this! Please bring back...

Picked up drive thru. Got home and noticed my salad (only thing I would have eaten today) didn't have the extra meat he ordered for me. Called in and Colby (so he says his name is) tells me I'm wrong he weighed the meat himself. I asked How much should a normal salads meat weigh? How much should it weigh if I ask for hog? Thank him and get off the phone. I order the same salad everything I eat at Bono's I know what my salad should look like. The salad they provided was the smallest salad I've ever received. I weighed the meat and it equaled the amount a normal salad should have. Instead of owning up to the mistake the first time Colby told the GUEST that literally pays his pay check they were wrong he weighed it himself. This Bono's is a joke! Thanks for my money back after I had to do your job for you! Drive to Neptune is worth it don't waste your money here they are ripping you...
