C St. Bistro — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I love this place but When I call in an order, a man generally answers the phone and he’s not very friendly. We Eat here a couple times a month if not more for takeout. I ordered pizza on Thursday drove in from the Applegate, I have ordered pizza on Thursday before, I get to the counter and they say they cannot make the pizza. The hostess/counter girl that worked there was very friendly, but the owners didn’t seem to treat their staff very well nor Did they apologize at all After I made the drive in to order a pizza, they lied to me and told me that Thursday nights are only reservations, Which it does not say that on their website. And like I said, I ordered pizza on Thursdays before. I was super bummed out because this is one of my favorite places. I just wish the owners were a little bit more friendlier.. I don’t know if I will be going back...

The rice in the risotto didn't seem cooked all the way, as confirmed by the rest of my party as well, so I only ate about a 3rd of it. When questioned by the staff about why I didn't want a box for leftovers, I told her what I thought. She said "I'll take it back to him and have him check it", she then brought it back out in a box, placed it on the check, and didn't say a word. I guess that meant I was wrong. The other two members of my party each ordered a burger, which they felt was "just ok". With caramelized onions and blue cheese, it was surprisingly "plain and dry". I believe strongly in supporting local businesses, something we do weekly in Jacksonville, and perhaps we'll revisit C Street Bistro again in the future, but not...

If I could eat at C street bistro every day I would and be happy about it. Everything was perfectly executed and created with such care and creativity. Not to mention you can tell how fresh everything was in the locally sourced produce and house ouse made pretty much everything. There were no complaints about any aspect of the meal and that's really hard to find. We have the special of the night which was a swordfish with lobster sauce and bacon wrapped green beans. We also had the wedge salad and boucherie burger. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary as well as hang out and listen to great music they had playing. Cannot wait to return and try out other items...
