Hands down the worst dining experience I've had in Oregon. We had a guest from out of town and decided to give this place a try because the place looks promising. That's the thing about this place is they make the menu look and sound good, then you see the food. I ordered the Oregon crusted snapper with lobster sauce, fancy mashed potatoes and asparagus. What came out was a microwave reheated piece of fish with soggy breading (not from the sauce), premade liquid potatoes and three pieces of overcooked/old asparagus. I also ordered six shrimp that never came out, yet they charged me for. Our guest got the lasagna and my wife got the chicken wrap. Again very low quality ingredients in the chicken wrap and the lasagna. The lasagna was the smallest dish by far and mainly consisted of tomato sauce. It was supposed to come with bread but our waiter didn't bring that out either. He did give us the bread when we asked but we had to deal with his bad attitude every time we spoke to him. The rest of the staff were also lackluster at best or I would have asked to speak with the manager/cook. This was my initial thought but I couldn't bother the girl on the phone to tell me where the missing manager was. After seeing the quality of the fish (or lack thereof) I did request for the shrimp to be taken off the bill. At this point in the review I probably don't need to beat a dead horse but they also had a really poor selection of beer. At least if they had a decent beer selection I could have stomached more...
Read moreI ordered a pick up from this restaurant yesterday through Door Dash and I was totally disappointed. I ordered the Bella Burger and Lg. House Salad . I arrived just a few minutes after it was ready for pickup, so the food had not been sitting there long . However, the salad had mostly dark, wilted lettuce in it with very few Romain hearts and those were brownish around the edges. Also, according to the description on the menu it was to have “seasonal vegetables” in it and salami. Well, that’s not the case …unless you consider 1 small grape tomato,1 slice of cucumber and a tiny bit of cheese with a couple croutons a LG, seasonal vegetable salad. There were no carrot’s or salami i it (as it showed in pics). It was beyond underwhelming especially for $12 and the chunk of sourdough bread it included with salad, wrapped in tin foil ,was ROCK HARD! Moving on to the Bella burger …as the picture shows it was over cooked, very dry and burnt on outside and the cheese was cooked hard. I ate part of the burger because I was very hungry and it was a $16 burger, I didn’t want to waste it. So,I crumbled up the rest of the meat and gave it to my dog. She was very happy,me,not so much. I recently moved to Jacksonville and had been looking forward to trying out the food there. Maybe it’s just a Door Dash thing and the restaurant doesn’t take as much care preparing orders when using them and that’s not right. I MAY give them one more try and eat at the restaurant instead of takeout. I do not recommend take...
Read moreWe were rolling in from out of town and multiple locals said this was the best place in town. Sadly, I believe they might be right - but it is not good. The house salad was fine. Over dressed, but edible. The bread was free, so I can't really complain there. The garlic butter they brought with it was good. My husband got a "certified angus new york steak" which he ordered medium rare. When it arrived it had a little sign that said "medium" on it...funny enough, they must have under cooked it because it was medium rare. The steak itself was fine. Definitely not charbroiled as advertised. The blue cheese butter on top was the best part. The "seasonal veggies" were literally Bird's Eye Steamfresh with pepper on top. The roasted potatoes were fine.
I got the clam linguini with a "white wine, tomato, and basil sauce". It tasted decent actually, though there was a strange lack of actual pasta, which is the cheapest ingredient. The "sauce" was actually more like a soup, but I didn't have a spoon to use to eat it, so it mostly went to waste.
The tiramisu is fine. The peach cobbler special was...definitely cobbled. Canned peaches topped with a surprisingly salty, underdone bisquick mix. The service was also fine. The bill came to a whopping $76 for our meals, no appetizers, and one glass of a mediocre Pinotage.
If you are thinking of going here, I highly recommend driving to Medford and making better choices...
