Captain D's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I will not be visiting Captain D's again. My grandmother had just gotten out of the hospital and the one thing she requested to eat was Captain D's. I thought going through the drive thru would be quick enough so I placed my order and waited. It took about 45 minutes for the line to move after I placed my order. After 20 more minutes the car in front of me sat at the window waiting for her food. I parked my car and walked in to see what the issue was, I told the manager I had been waiting in the drive thru for an hour and told him I was the car behind the one currently at the window. They were at the window long enough that they put their car in park. He walked to the window and checked the food and asked me what I had ordered, I told him and paid for my meal. He went about business with the next customer and I waited at the counter for the meal. During this time the customer at the window finally received their meal and were angry that they had to wait so long with no explanation. They paid when they got to the window and were offered no other service until they got their meal. He never told me if my meal was complete and did not acknowledge me. After he finished business with the customer at the register I asked him if my meal was complete or how much time was left until it would be finished. He stated that since I had left the drive thru line and had come inside and ordered that my meal would be complete after everyone that was in que before me. He started they were short staffed and that there was nothing he could do as meals were being cooked in the order that they were given, which made no sense to me as my order was given outside and I would have been the next car at the window. If I had known driving up that they had been short staffed I would have gladly driven to another captain ds instead of wasting my time and not getting the...

We were greeted properly. We ordered our food and went to wash up before got it. There was no soap or tissue in either bathroom. So we washed our hands with just water then we use our own hand sanitizer. Our food came really fast. My food was luke warm. My okra was cold and my stuff crab tasted old. No one really enjoyed the food. So the cashier told us that the bathrooms had no soap dispenser. She had tidied up the bathrooms. She had soap in a small bowl on the sink were we had dip our fingers in to use. She tried and she was very friendly. Tne hold time looks like the manager was sitting in one of the booths on a laptop with no worries or concerns at all. I love this cheap seafood place however the meal I chose wasn't as good as I'd thought it would be! I realized when I ate it, I could've made a BETTER choice! The young lady at the register had a little attitude when WE asked her a question after we ordered. We asked if someone behind the counter could come & wipe off the tables because they were ALL used & dirty. Her reply was "You see it's only 4 of us here today & I'll get to our in a minute!" In less than 30 seconds, one of her co-workers grabbed a rag & came & wiped off one of the tables so we could take a seat. I thought that was very sweet of her even though she was doing her job.
