I met with KD, the on-site General Manager, along with several crew members on 05/01/2025. From the initial interaction, it was clear that the entire team was exceptional: professional, knowledgeable, and committed to quality service.
During my conversation with KD, I recommended establishing an official location in Orange Park. Specifically, I suggested considering one of the restaurant spaces currently available for lease near Orange Park High School. One prime location is next to Ross and Bealls on Blanding Boulevard, near the BJ’s Whole Club. This site not only accommodates a drive-thru but is also situated on a major thoroughfare with consistently high traffic, offering excellent visibility and access.
Strategically connecting the plaza with the new Cava location could create synergy and increase brand presence. In terms of pricing and marketing, this would position the brand as one of the first healthier fast food options in the area. A bowl offering would be competitively priced—likely cheaper than many of the combo meals or subs sold nearby—and could attract a strong local customer base.
I would strongly recommend this location, as it serves as a central point between the Oakleaf and Middleburg areas, especially if the restaurants are thoughtfully spaced rather than overly clustered like other fast...
Read moreVery disappointed with the service this morning. We arrived at 10:45am when Cava opens and we understand sometimes the prep isnt fully completed at open. Upon entering we were not acknowledged but kept waiting as one worker was serving two other guest and another worker with dreads and a right forearm tattoo was making what seemed to be a sample plate of the items on the line. After completing the sampling plate that worker decided to go to the back and finally acknowledge us to be helped with an attitude. I asked for some items like hummus and dill sauce that were not on the line and if they were coming and was met with a “no”. How does Cava not have hummus? Well they did have hummus because another worker brought it out moments later after I finished paying. I was given the smallest portions possible and had to keep asking for a little more please. I was not given the option of a receipt but when it did print the worker gave no parting remark and turned to finish another task. I felt as a inconvenience to this location and it is unfortunate the customer service is not good because the food is...
Read moreI recently visited the Cava on San Jose Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida, and had a very disappointing experience with a manager named TRACE . From the moment we walked in, he was unwelcoming, which we initially brushed off as a potential off day. However, things quickly went downhill. When we ordered pickled cucumbers, the container was nearly empty, and we politely asked if he could bring out a full serving. Trace responded aggressively, going to the back to get more. Later, we requested the salsa-like item, and he was scraping the bottom of an empty container. Upon asking for more, Trace's behavior escalated—he became very aggressive and even yelled at us, using explicit language to tell us to "get the [explicit] out of his name." Trace's conduct was not only unprofessional but also downright disrespectful, as if he was trying to challenge us as customers. This experience was distasteful and not representative of the Cava brand. I would recommend avoiding this manager at all costs. If he continues at this location, I hope his behavior doesn't negatively impact the...
