I usually don’t write reviews, but in this case I felt like I had to. I went to the shop a couple days ago and really dwelled on this because I know what reviews are to a small business. I am thankful for the turn around in this situation and the intervention of another nail tech at the shop, but I went for an acrylic removal and had a horrible experience. The first woman who took me had no idea what she was doing- as someone who has been getting acrylic for a long time, i’ve become familiar with the process of taking it off. Firstly, she opted for me to submerge my hands in acetone and put a towel over them to cover them instead of individual foils on each of the nails with cotton soaked in acetone. She came over and told me she was going to charge me 30$ (it’s 15$ on the website, but I was already in the chair so I hesitantly agreed) and even mentioned she usually charges more. For anyone who is familiar with chemistry, trapping a chemical reaction with skin like that is how you result in chemical burns. I kept on having to lift the towel to reintroduce oxygen as it felt like my hands were on fire, I had skin peeling the following days. The first nail tech who took me tried to file down my nails and shape them when there was still acrylic stuck to my nails, and when I pointed out there was still leftover acrylic on my hand she called me picky. She held the dremel at a sharp angle which ended up damaging my natural nail on my pinky, it is extremly thin at that point in my nail. She was also drilling underneath my acrylic nail for some reason? She then tried to pluck off the remaining acrylic with tweazers.. I’ve seen scrapers, yes, but never plucking. I tried to sit through this as long as I could because I hate causing conflict. She asked me very unprofessional questions like the nationality of my nail tech, then talking badly about her work. To top it all off however, while she was plucking at the acrylic, she ended up ripping my natural nail past the free edge (the white part of your nail) into my actual nail, she insulted me calling me sensitive when I winced, which is when I asked to leave mid service and pay for just a small portion since my other hand was still full of acrylic and the other hand had less nail than I arrived with. This was incredibly painful and as you can see in the photos was repaired by another nail tech at the shop with gel. I was ready to leave but I am eternally grateful for the other tech that stepped in who repaired my nail and advised me to let it grow out and leave the gel on until I do anything else, also giving me the option to paint over the gel for the time being. She removed the rest of the acrylic with foils and was gentle with the nail the previous nail tech had ripped. The second lady who helped me was an absolute angel and i’m so grateful she intervened, she handled the situation so well and was so incredibly nice, however, whoever the first lady was is not somebody who should be doing nails. Once again, I don’t typically write reviews, but before the second lady came in this was a miserable experience and I hope that action is done with the first woman who handled my service, she was so incredibly unprofessional.

Guys this is the best salon that you will find in the area. The customer service is amazing and the job that will cost you double for nails and 30$ more for eyelashes will be just the same if not better. They will always work around your time and will go out of their way to make you happy. And last but not least, I came to fill in my eyelashes after 3-4 from my last fill in and I probably could have waited more time because they will make sure that you don’t have to come back soon, they will do everything possible to save you as much money as possible and still give you an amazing job as if you went to a very very expensive salon. Loan is amazing for nails and Tracy is amazing for eyelashes. And if you guys pay attention to how apologetic they are and willing to fix a problem that people wrote about on bad reviews is amazing. Because usually people try to find excuses and even pretend like the customer doesn’t exist in their data base or they don’t them but manadarin salon will always be apologetic and will always fix whatever the customer feels like was done not to their standard. Tracy the owner will always work with you and even give you her personal number if you need to have it to be seen as soon as possible. I also read that people think that they treat people of color or other people different but that is so not true. I’m not a person of color but I am Russian and because of the war I have been feeling that people have been judging me and treating me different. Never have I ever felt like that here. Thank you Mandarin salon.

I’m from New York and when I moved to Jacksonville I realized that Russian manicure that I usually got in Brooklyn cost here double than what it cost in New York. Basically in anew York Russian manicure is from 40-60$ and here it’s from 80-100$. I’m so glad I found mandarin nails because not only are they amazing at what they do but their customer service is beyond amazing. They will always work around your time and if you need to be Seen today or tomorrow for emergency and they are booked which is what happens most of the time, they will call their customers and try to see if they can move time around to fit you in but at the same time, they will make sure everyone are happy. Also their manicure and eyelashes are much better jn price as per my example on the top but the work is same as if it cost double the price. I will try to upload a picture of my manicure today so you can see what 40$ will get you. You will not regret coming here I promise.

Ladies, make sure you wear some concealer when visiting this place! I have been a customer to this nail salon for years and normally, my visit is always great. However, l'd leave 0 stars if l could based upon my visit from earlier today.....l walked in, said hello and was literally only there for about 2 minutes conversing with the pedicure ladies and before l even had the chance to sit down and start my full set, one of them starts to push extra services on me, such as a pedicure and lashes (even though my feet and lashes were already done and LOOKED GORGEOUS) l really don't understand why that is necessary; if l need more than 1 service, I WILL LET YOU KNOW! All l asked for was a full set so just be grateful that l chose to come to you, BUT that's not all... She told me that my face was full of acne and said that l really could use a facial! I am well aware of how my skin looks and l am also well aware of what works/doesn't work for my skin! That comment really hurt my feelings and she repeatedly mentioned it throughout my service, which offended me even more!! I finally just broke and asked her how much for a facial and she proceeded to tell me $150. My full-set wasnt even half of that price and lm NOT paying that ridiculous total for a "facial" that's not even going to help my face look better! All day long, l tried to forget about this insensitive comment but l guess l just...
