My husband and I went here because I was craving a chicken cutlet parmigiana hoagie (I am from NYC and call it a hero). Good Italian food that lives up to my expectations is hard to come by in Florida, but we were impressed with Celeno’s! The service was unbeatable! When we walked in, two customers were walking out and raved to us about it. You could tell they were regulars and love the staff. I immediately could see why. We were greeted right away and escorted to a table. Our host/server was incredibly welcoming, enthusiastic, and attentive. He and the rest of the staff were all like this and you could tell they really appreciate their customers. The atmosphere was pleasant with comfortable seating as well. As for the food - I had the chicken parmigiana hoagie, my husband had the meatball parmigiana one, and we split a stromboli. The stromboli was delicious! The mozzarella on all 3 items was so good as well as the bread/dough. My only complaint for the chicken was that it was too thin so it wound up being too tough/dry on some bites. But flavor-wise, it hit the spot. As for my husband’s sandwich, he liked it, but I am super picky about meatballs and don’t like them in most places. I tried a bite and I thought it could use a lot more flavor — not sure if they add seasoned breadcrumbs or onions to them — but they should if they don’t. I hope they take this feedback into consideration because the service is amazing and should be matched by their food — which is good for Florida Italian, but I would love to see it raise the bar!

Service: 10/10 The staff was incredible. These guys are passionate about what they do and provided top tier service. Atmosphere: 5 stars. This is the old blue bamboo location and the exterior has been updated nicely. The interior isn’t high end, but it is comfortable and allows them to keep the food affordable. Food: 4/5. We had the dinner buffet and a chicken Parmesan. The dinner buffet includes the hot food at the buffet (about 7-8 different options that rotate daily), pepperoni/cheese pizza freshly made in the kitchen, salad options (kitchen), and dessert. The chicken Parmesan has several options for noodles. Went with spaghetti noodles. I would say good not great. The chicken was a little tough. 3/5. The bread it came with was 5/5. Buffet pizza was 10/10. It’s New York style. Crispy, soft, and thin. Honestly perfect. V’s pizza should take note with their soggy crap, this is 10x better. I would take it over any takeout or mellow mushroom. You can tell it’s made fresh. No flop. Salad 5/5. Dessert was beignets. 10/10. Incredible. I’m not sure if it’s always included, but we got some for free at the end of our meal. The butter options were hit and miss. The chicken options were tough with the sauce being the saving grace, but the lasagna and other beef/pork products were 5/5. Overall 5/5 for the price. It’s a few dollars cheaper than chows and I feel is a good value for the price. If prices go up ($13.99 for dinner buffet) I’d likely elect to go somewhere else, but at this price it’s worth a try!

Saw an advertisement in Mint magazine on the front cover and figured why not. Located off Southside it's an easy in or out regardless of the direction you are traveling. Parking is plentiful. Walked in and greeted and sat right away. A TV was playing and music in the background, neither of which was Italian, which is the food that this restaurant serves. First suggestion take the prison show off the TV, put a loop of Italy country side on. Next play some soothing Italian music. Also a little better art work would set the mood. Atmosphere is important! Waiter was quick to ask if we wanted the Buffet or Menu...we chose Buffet. The selection was small with cooked Spaghetti, Pasta Alfredo, Chicken Parmesan, lasagna, Penne Pasta, Sausage, Meatballs and Garlic 🧄 knots. All were good but served warm, not hot which was quite a disappointment. Salad was delivered and standard garden with the Blue Cheese good but the House not to my taste. Surprise were two slices of Pepperoni Pizza that was delivered to our table. Again could have been better if hot as opposed to warm to cool. A nice touch was a gentleman who roamed the isles strumming his guitar singing Italian songs. Atmosphere and food are two reasons people return and with a little work, and at the price of $12.99 for dinner, this place "COULD" be busy but it's up to the owners to get people in the mood. Get the smell of Italy and the feel into the place and you will make it but for us, we will wait a while before we return but feel you need to give it a try.

Absolutely blown away by Celeno’s Bistro! In a time when dining out often feels like a luxury, this little gem delivers big on flavor, value, and unforgettable service. It’s rare to find a place where you can treat yourself without breaking the bank—and Celeno’s nails it.

Let’s start with the food. The New York-style pizza was a slice of heaven—thin, fresh, with just the right crisp on the crust and toppings that tasted like they came straight from a local market. The fresh salads were crisp and flavorful, the kind that actually makes you want to eat your greens. And the beignets with strawberry sauce? Warm, pillowy, and indulgent without being too sweet—an absolute must-have.

But the real showstopper? The all-you-can-eat dinner special. For just $13.99, we had unlimited pasta, pizza, and salad. And to top it off, a bottle of wine for $10—yes, really! In these tough economic times, finding a meal this good at these prices is practically a miracle. Lunch prices are apparently $11.99 and their happy hour has a full bar with amazing prices too. Our dinner was cheaper than going to the grocery store and cooking at home.

However, what truly sets Celeno’s apart is the exceptional customer service. My drink never once ran dry, our food arrived hot and fresh, and the staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and full of great recommendations. They made what could have been a casual dinner feel like a five-star experience. The genuine hospitality here is unmatched. It is very rare to find good customer service like this and we left the restaurant feeling special. Truly, fine dining restaurants need to take note of the hospitality of this servers, I have lived and dined in Jacksonville for 30 years, the service was exceptional. The Management and the owners should be proud.

Celeno’s Bistro is more than just a great meal—it’s an experience, and one I highly recommend to everyone. This place is not pretentious, is incredibly affordable, but wonderfully special. Whether you're on a budget or just want a quality night out, this place delivers on every level. A true neighborhood treasure! I cannot wait to go back again and bring family...

I called and ordered a dinner lasagna six piece wing extra wet side of fries with side salad extra side of Italian dressing. The person I took my order, repeated it back to me multiple times I came pick up my food got home get my food out and order is completely wrong. My wings are not even wet with sauce. They’re basically dry. They never gave me the order of fries that I ordered , the dressing they gave me two different types so I called told him about the mistake. They said we can give you an exercise of wings and you can come pick it up. I ate lasagna. It wasn’t even that good. I took two bites. I decided to bring all the food back Because they got it wrong. I asked the gentleman if you could make this right into at least call me for something preferably the whole meal but at least something gives me the runaround and only gives me back $10 out of a $25 total I would not come back to this restaurant. Customer service is not good. They obviously can’t make the food as ordered so they can’t follow directions. They are not good with customer service because as customer service you would think you would want to try to make it right for the customer so they would come back to make them happy. I was very polite and try to be understanding, especially since I had to drive 15 minutes back to the restaurant to have them correct their mistake and they don’t even want to offer me a fresh order of wings with extra sauce so when I get home from their mistake, I would have a fresh batch of warm food to eat they don’t even offer that they expect me to get extra sauce which they forgot. Go home put it on cold wings and have to keep them up in order to enjoy my dinneragain horrible customer service I will never come to this restaurant again. Do not recommend better off going to Olive Garden and spend the extra $20 for food. That is way better guaranteed no...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Celeno’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Jacksonville, FL, and it was an unparalleled experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered, the ambiance exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfectly capturing the essence of Italian hospitality.

The menu at Celeno’s offers a rich variety of authentic Italian cuisine, with each dish prepared using high-quality, fresh ingredients that truly showcase the culinary excellence of Italy. However, the highlight of our meal was the Margherita Pizza. This classic Italian masterpiece was a delight to the senses, featuring a perfectly crisp crust, a harmonious blend of fresh mozzarella, succulent tomatoes, and aromatic basil, all drizzled with a rich, flavorful olive oil. It is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to traditional recipes and techniques, making it a must-try for anyone visiting.

In addition to the exceptional food, the restaurant boasts a carefully curated selection of wines that complement their dishes beautifully, further elevating the dining experience.

In conclusion, Celeno’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is a gem in Jacksonville, FL, offering an authentic Italian dining experience that is both memorable and exquisite.
