Waffle & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Jacksonville

The good news is the bubble waffle is good! Crunchy, sweet, and chewy. It could have been cooked a bit less to retain some moisture at the center of the bubbles and the ice cream didn't seem great quality, but overall it was decent and I enjoyed it.

That being said, the actual location could use some work. The bathroom was in bad shape. There were buckets under the sink indicating leaks and the toilet was really gross. Not exactly appetizing before I enjoy some dessert. I was surprised to see that the place had opened only recently and the bathroom was already in disarray. The eating area also needs some work. It was uncomfortably silent in there. They need some relaxed music and some better/more decorations, maybe a TV or something. They have these candy jars as decoration along the wall opposite the cash register, and they are covered in these chopped up pool floaties and it's just...confusing.

There should be some visual above the cashier showing off/explaining the food, rather than people having to look at the very uninformative list of options on tiny paper menus. It was clear that the guy working there pretty much has to explain the menu every time someone new walks in.

We recently visited a dessert restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The service was slow, and the atmosphere wasn't particularly inviting. However, the most disappointing part was the dessert itself. We ordered a crêpe that was served cold and not fresh. Instead of being soft with a slight crisp, it was dry and tough, clearly prepared long in advance and not properly reheated. Great First-Time Experience! I visited Waffle Ice Cream for the first time and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a fresh waffle with toppings and a milkshake, and both were absolutely delicious. The waffle was warm and perfectly made, and the milkshake was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor.

The staff were very welcoming and kind. Since it was my first time there, they even gave me a little something extra for free, which I really appreciated. The place was clean, the service was quick, and the overall atmosphere was great.
