Food is mighty tasty; however, wait time is too long. We drove from St Johns County to Duval County. We were told the chicken would be ready in 30 minutes (the store closes at 10:00pm). We arrived at 8:08pm. After being told about the wait time, we told the drive-thru lady we would return and left at 8:11pm. We returned at 8:37pm and waited until we left at without food at 9:10pm. We spent our money at Taco Bell on San Jose Blvd nearly 20 miles away. We had very good customer service at Taco Bell. The employees at this Church's Chicken only care about their checks and not the owners potential income and they care not one iota about the patrons purchasing food products from your restaurant. They do not care that your customers are going to your competitors. People were extremely angry because a number of them came back also When we left there was only one other car in drive-thru (about 5-6 cars had been in drive-thru during this time). The workers in Church's locked the doors soon after we returned and ignored EVERYONE WAITING IN THE DRIVE THROUGH. I really felt sad for the lady with the Kentucky tag in front of us. It was embarrassing to see that this was the best that Church's Chicken could offer in customer service to any of their patrons. It seems to me the owners of this company hire people of this caliber because they apparently do not care about their patrons. To lock your doors and begin to clean up your lobby and everything else while there is a line of people waiting to be served food is unprofessional and uncaring and should not be tolerated from any employee for any reason. I know your employees need to break things down to try and close on time and go home. I get that. I really do.However, your customers have returned for fresh hot chicken to be served to them after 30 minutes... it's ridiculous, pathetic, cold-hearted and insensitive to do such a thing. One can only come to the conclusion that the owners of this particular Church's Chicken really do not give a care about their customers. It's the worst customer service ever. I cannot recommend anybody to come to Church's Chicken under these circumstances. Freidman, Fleischer and Lowe apparently DON'T...
Read moreVisited this restaurant on Saturday (3/12/16) at 10:00am at time of opening. Called in an order (20 piece family with sides) at approximately 9:30am for pickup. Spoke to manager who appeared very inexperienced and confused, but nonetheless took my advance order over the phone and assured me it would be ready for pickup at 10am. My 20 piece family meal included four (4) sides. Right away, I was told the restaurant had run out of cole slaw and mac & cheese even though they were opening at 10am. I asked what sides were still available, so I decided to take what was available, even though I was not happy with the selections. One of the selections was corn on the cob.
I arrived at Churches at 9:50am and waited until the doors opened at 10am. I was their first customer this day. To my surprise, the restaurant was clearly not operationally ready to commence providing services upon opening.
The cashier took approximately 15 additional minutes after opening to set up her cash register. The manager, did not seem to have control of her staff as they seem to do whatever they wanted to do and at their pace. When finally asked what I wanted, I told the cashier I had previously called in my order for a 20 piece family. The manager who was a very small petite woman, then went to the cooker/fryer employee and asked if my order was done. He responded to his manager, he had not started the order earlier because "he wanted to make sure someone was actually going to be there to pickup the order". They then tried to get my order together, however no sides had been prepared. I was immediately told one of my sides ordered (corn on the cob) would take approximately one (1) hour to prepare. Being completely disgusted at that moment and surprised at their overall behavior, I decided to forget the order and left.
In summary, the restaurant staff was rude, uncaring, lazy and very unprofessional. This was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had at Churches restaurant. I do not plan on returning in...
Read moreI have been eating Churchs Chicken since I was a child. I live in Gainesville, Florida and as an Adult I travel to Jacksonville mostly to the Normandy Blvd location, barely the one on 103rd due to Normandy is more familiar to me. I went on Sunday around 1:30 and asked for ALL LEGS with a 3 piece order. I was refused. Even after I offered to pay extra for what I asked for AND informing them I drive from Gainesville and hour & 45 minutes ONLY to get Churchs. I was still refused. Considering the distance driven as well as me OFFERING to pay more I should have received what I asked for I am the customer and who is paying for it. The old Staff understood this and gave me what I wanted. Which never went without gratitude shown as I would tip them EACH individually. These young children you have working there don't understand the gist of this and haven't seen enough or experienced enough to refuse Full Grown Adults from attaining what we ask for. I was highly upset and displeased with the blatant disregard for my request. If I visit this location again after driving almost 2 HOURS to get it Corporate will be my next call & I will have my camera video rolling to capture the refusal so I can Upload it on Tik Tok, Facebook Reels & Instagram and tag Kevin Lee a food rater & viral food connoisseur to see how viral this Establishment can be for refusing Patrons their requests. It doesn't come out of your Paychecks, but the food I'm buying is coming out of mine so give me what I kindly asked for😡 Good Day.
Sincerely, An overly...
