D'bo's Daiquiris, Wings, & Seafood - Jacksonville — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I'm astounded.

The worst thing for me wasn't the 2-hour-long wait after our food orders were lost. It was that the hostess kept locking the door to establishment, while it was open for business and people were inside. I had to go out to my car to get something and when I tried coming back inside the door was locked and no one would let me in. I had to text someone in our dinner party to let me back in. Is this even legal? It was so embarassing.

Experience: Bar was trashed when we sat down, we had to flag down a bartender to get someone to clean it up

15 mins after we sat down we had to get someones attention, waitress behind bar took our orders. Bartender came by about 20 mins after that to ask us to tell her OUR SPECIFIC ORDERS again because they LOST our orders. She came back by and told us that she found the order slip in the kitchen but it was not wrung in and was incredibly apologetic. She promised personally make sure it got put incorrectly and would get our food sent out to us as soon as possible. We wanted it to go so we paid her then.

Over an hour after that, the lead staff or manager brought out carrots and celery as an apology and offered waters and asked how she could remedy it a few times. We said we just really wanted our food so we could leave.

Got our food almost 2 hrs after we sat down, my order was incorrect :) I ordered catfish on brioche bun and got a Po boy. I made sure to reiterate to the server and bartender that I did NOT want the po boy but got one anyways. Tiny filets but they were tasty.

A few people that were seated right after we sat down were still waiting for food or service when we finally got to leave. However, there were a number of other tables that got their food far more quickly.

Pros: Beyond the fries the food seemed to have been made very very well and did not skimp on the seasonings. Our bartender was really nice and you could tell that the staff were stressed out but trying their best.

2 stars for the bartender and food quality, but if those were lacking I'd give a 0* if I could. I can't start to imagine how hard it is to run a successful restaurant, but if it's already been two or three weeks since y'all have opened and this stuff is still happening, you need to take a really hard look at what's going on in the restaurant. We need more black owned businesses, we need more variety of food and drink in riverside, and we could definitely use more Frozen daiquiris. I hope that you all get it together so you can...

If I could give a place 0 stars I would for this place. This was the worst restaurant I've been to in Jacksonville. To start off, we waited almost 45 minutes to even order our food, I had to flag a bar tender down to even come take our order. Then about an hour later we still hadn't gotten our food, I flagged down the server again and she says the kitchen somehow didn't get our order but they're working on it now. They bring out my friends order and say mine is still in the kitchen, then they bring out THE WRONG ORDER. I then tell them this isn't what I asked for and the server says "are you sure" and I say yes and she first says ok you can keep this and I'll bring out the correct item and then comes out 2 minutes later and asks if I ate it yet and if she can take it back because "they asked her to bring it back". I gave it back, even though she told me I could keep it. At this point, I got frustrated and told them to not even bother fixing it, I had other food I could eat and it would be fine. One girl says ok and that she would let my server know and then my server still brings out the food and says "oh can you keep it anyway because I had to really push to get it out". Like no, I'm not going to keep food so you don't get in trouble. It WAS RIDICULOUS. After all of this, we ask for our check, and it's way higher than our items would have been and she says there's an automatic 20% gratuity despite the party size. It was only me and one other friend. I ask for a printed receipt and the receipt says "delivery fee" on there. I point this out and she says oh it's just a glitch in our system. THIS WAS the WORST service I've ever had at a restaurant. DO NOT GO HERE. The food was actually ok but NOT WORTH THIS SERVICE. I tried calling multiple times once I left to talk to a manager and no one even answered. Truly just horrible service. I attached my receipt below in case people want to see this service and delivery fee I got charged for eating IN A RESTAURANT W A PARTY OF TWO. I told them they should add the gratuity thing to their website and menu so people know and the server literally laughed at me and said...

My first time experience at this place I was excited to try was........ a 40 minute wait to be seated so we were suggested to sit at the bar until it was ready..... Ok🤷🏾‍♂️ ....Had a daiquiri. It wasn't bad but the waitress seemed overwhelmed and took some time to get to us. Only two seats at the bar that was left to actually sit, might I add. Our space wasn't cleaned....ok... I get it. No worries. She eventually cleared it. I quickly ordered a drink quick bcz I had a feeling she wouldn't be back soon but she told me to give her a minute. 5 minutes later she takes our drink order. Brings us menus after the drinks. 5 minutes later I flag her down for the order ( 4 tenders and fries🤷🏾‍♂️). I was told we couldn't be seated bc they were waiting for evening staff to show up so even though there were at least 15 tables available we sat at the bar. Almost to the end of our drinks (25 minutes later) and STILL no food. I almost left without paying bcz they weren't paying us any attention anyway 🤷🏾‍♂️. Finally a woman asked us if we were ready to be seated and I said yes. She says, I noticed you were comfortable at the bar so I assumed you guys didn't want to move. I'm thinking 🤔, how long have you been watching us sit here before you came to seat us? Anyway, we got seated five steps away from the bar 😆...and waited another 10 minutes for 4 tenders and some fries. The End. Ok y'all... having a bunch of cute girls serving is great! But y'all ain't Hooters.... You need someone in there to regulate and organize bcz those young ladies looked a little lost and had no sense of urgency for the customer. And you may need some more cooks in the back bcz it makes NO sense to take 45 minutes to cook 4 tenders and some fries that cost me $20 dollars! I gave three stars bcz I hope y'all get better.🫤 Food was good though and I left a tip but i don't know if I'll come back unless I can order before I...
