Dick's Wings And Grill Mayport — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Sadly this Dicks Wings doesn't live up to its potential. There is an outside front patio deck that is falling apart, with outside patio tables that are so gross that they are an embarrassment. Actually glad to hear the server say that they couldn't serve us food on the deck, after a person in my party asked. Can't fault the servers or food prep staff for any of the issues. The issues can only be addressed by franchisee/owner/operator. It would be worth the investment to repair/ replace and utilize the outdoor Deck. Would be nice to sit and chill at a prime spot on Mayport Rd. while enjoying wings and having a few cold ones, this spot has potential to be a real draw. Right next to Hannah Park and Mayport NS. The food was standard for Dicks Wings (which we frequent often at a few locations in Jax). The live music was nice touch. The servers are pleasant and very attentive. Inside the floor was meant to be rustic, but just looked gross and dirty.

Giving the place 3 stars due to appearance and overall look of dinge inside and on the patio. If they clean up the look of the place inside, or repair the outside deck and make it functional, I will update my review to 4...

Not too sure if this was just for the night I was there, but I was reccommended this place by some locals and I now debate whether they were playing a prank on me or not.

I was seated instantly, my waitress greeted us and then it all went downhill from there. My drink came back nearly twenty minutes after ordering it. The restaurant was NOT packed, but it was Bingo night. I ordered my food once my drink came. An appetizer of fried mushrooms and a burger with no mayo or tomato is what I ordered. I got mushrooms soon after and they were fine. The next two hours were my friends and I sipping on the orignal drinks we ordered with no refills. I recall drinking the water from my cup once my ice-cubes melted. We also played several games of bingo (which was really fun once we got competitive and started trash-talking) and finally our food arrived. My burger did not come as ordered, it was a completeley different burger, but I decided that I was too irritable to acknowledge this. I ate the burger and finally received my first refill after waiting fot my food for two hours.

Not exactly sure what happened this night, but I'll avoid this place...

I've been here quite a few times and the service has always been fine. But today it was so bad that I don't think I'll come back. The Mr.Pib tasted like it had no soda syrup in it. My buddy asked for boneless like he has done at every wing place we've ever been too. But the waitress brought back bone-in and insisted he ordered bone-in, and refused to bring him boneless. So he was stuck with the bone-in wings that he didn't want. And they weren't even the right flavor. Not to mention they were doing a buy one order of boneless wings, get another free. So he also missed out on all the free wings he could have received. We were also the only table in the entire restaurant. Yet we spend 20-30 minutes after we were done eating our food waiting for her to take our cards and bring them back. Also everytime I have ever been here, they always ask if I'd like celery or not. I always so no. And they always bring celery. I don't mind. I just don't eat it. But why do they insist on asking if they are always going to bring it anyway? Horrible customer service.
