Said something like farm fresh on the window, I wonder more about that? Do they have contacts with local farms? I didn't see any fresh green sprouts on anything. That would be a nice thing to brag about.
Seems to be a made from scratch kitchen?
Biscuits tasted like they were made with real lard, but, found out it's just regular 'ol chemical artery clogging margarine, originally made for cars as motor oil. I wish margarine would go ahead and be taken off the market as a food product. Didn't even want to eat my biscuit after that.
Veggie omelet isn't completed without green and paying extra $.99 for a few spinach leaves felt kinda off.
Got orange juice everyday. This 3rd day was asked the first time, "large or small?". Looked back and the first 2 previous days I was served a small and charged for a large. Hmm? Well, it's new and people are learning.
Warning.. the garlic grits are VERY GARLICY!!! LIKE WOW! Definitely, good to have garlic in your system during cold and flu season. So, not knocking it.
Suggested ADDING, Stevia as an option for sweetener on the table, and cream cheese.. Met the owner, and healthy ingredients did not feel as important in the production, Nor did meeting a local, nor participating in discussion or thanking me for coming in my 3rd x.
Note: Making eye contact, shaking hands, smiling and being welcoming and thankful goes a long way. People just not as personable anymore sometimes.
Hard to imagine some of the descriptions of what is on the menu, I suggest adding pictures on the menu.
Food can be your medicine or sickness.
I wish restaurants really cared about the ingredients served. It's so important to know what's going inside your body... taste isn't everything.. health is.
Edit: I have been here 9 times now. This is my very last time. I hope I remember to never ever come back. Atmosphere clean. My eggs were ordered over easy, Came back cooked. My eggs had shells in them; were crunchy. Had 3 different waitresses. I asked for water 3 times before I got it. Was never asked if I needed anything or how was everything mid meal. Music was loud and heard the intro to 4 songs in 60 secs- over and over ---Maddening!!!!!!! You will need a straight jacket and padded room after listening to that over and over.
Great songs, have everyone of them on my Playlist. But, just the intro and then sudden switch to another song? I heard the beginning of the same songs, Footloose, Let's get it on, I'm walking on sunshine, Madonna, gospel church, Micheal Jackson about 4 times before leaving the restaurant that day. You could not have conversation. This place is VERY clique type and seem to cator to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I just left after our first visit and loved it! Our server was delightful. She checked on us at the right intervals and was super nice. We love the atmosphere. The walls and ceiling are white and the light fixtures are yellow so you really get a bright, eggy vibe. It's also quite clean.
The food was delivered promptly and was soooo delicious! I started with a cranberry mimosa. I'd never had one and was oh so glad I tried it at our server's recommendation. I ended up getting 2!
I ordered the Chorizo Scramble with grits and wheat toast and have no notes on how to improve it. It was perfect! The eggs were perfectly scrambled. The chorizo was flavorful without being greasy or too spicy. The hollandaise was creamy and flavorful. The grits were also perfectly cooked with exactly the right amount of salt. I love that the put butter on the toast so it melts and also have pats at the table if you want more. I didn't because what they put on was the right amount. I just added jelly.
My wife ordered the Southern Staples which was a biscuit and sausage patties with gravy, eggs, and she chose home fries as the side. She asked for over hard eggs and that's exactly what she got. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. She only added ketchup as one does.
This will be our breakfast and brunch spot from now on! I've read other comments that the food portions weren't big enough, but they were actually exactly right. We were full but not stuffed and didn't have to lug around leftovers.
Now that I know how they cook grits, I feel safe to try the shrimp and grits next time. I wanted to feel them out first because, being from Louisiana and South Mississippi, we are very picky about our shrimp and grits. If they don't do those right, it's still fine. I just didn't want that to be my first experience. I will judge a place if they mess up the way our traditional foods...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, I recently ventured into the newly opened Eggs Up Grill, a place that promises to elevate your brunch game to stratospheric levels. With a name like that, how could I resist? I mean, who doesnāt want their eggs served with a side of adventure? Originally my plan was to indulge in some breakfast as my typical place was closed, but I decided on the Brunch Burger.
This burger is a double steak burger with American cheese, caramelized diced onions, crispy bacon, and egg. I will start with those sweet little onions that bring a touch of sophistication to this meaty masterpiece. Itās like they took regular onions and sent them off to space to elevate the taste of this masterpiece. Followed by the crispy baconābecause letās be honest, everything is better with bacon. It adds that perfect crunch that makes you feel like youāre living your best life capped off by none other than the egg. IF you ever had an egg on a burger, I donāt have to describe how it makes it so much better.
As I took my first bite, I was greeted by an explosion of flavorsāa harmonious blend of savory beef, rich cheese, sweet onions, salty bacon, and luscious egg yolk cascading down like a delicious waterfall. Each ingredient played its part perfectly. The bun? Oh boy! It was soft yet sturdy enough to hold all this deliciousness together without disintegrating into a sad pile of ingredients on my plate. I didnāt put this burger down at all.
In conclusion, if you find yourself near Eggs Up Grill and are contemplating what to order (which should be obvious at this point), do yourself a favor and dive headfirst into the Brunch Burger experience. Iām definitely will be going to go back to this establishment for actual breakfast, but until then Iāll give you this review.
