Hot Wok Chinese Restarunt in 103rd has been around for 20 years+ and i gotta say it is really good Chinese food! Back in the day around 2004 - 2020 i used to love coming here all the time with my Grandparents, and my Parents!! My grandpa Found this Place As well, and he enjoyed the food here!!! We used to order all the time Chicken Wings with Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Brocolloi majority of the time! The Quality of Food was amazing back then in the 2000s!! Staff was amazing and Great Food! However i notice over the year there was a sharp decline in the food.. I am unsure if management changed over the years or so, But there was a point we stopped going to 103rd Hot wok because we wasn't living around the area to get it. However i still manage to visit the restarunt time to time. During the Pandamic Since Most Chinese Restarunts Closed, This one kept its door open still to serve happy Customers!!! One day i came to order Boneless Spare Rib tips and it was Delicious!!! the Serving White Rice was alot!!! and Tons of Rib tips and i manage to finish it within the few days!!! I Recently Went back again to see how the business is doing, on July 2nd 2023. When i came to the Resturant it didn't look like the same as before... They have Blocked portion of the place. They used to be able to dine inside but they blocked that since 2020, The Atomosphare of it felt very off, I order White Rice ans Chicken Wings. After i order there was a customer who was really really unhappy with the food, and said the Competitor Hot Wok in Normandy is Way better!!!, I recieved my food and went home. I opened my food and i wasn't satisfied with my order... The Chicken Wings I recieved were not the Great Shape i expected them to be... There was Grade B wings, The Wings were Unshaped for some reason, Cheap Wings imo, the Portion of White Rice was Piss Poor... The only gave me a Tiny Cup worth of White Rice in my Bowl... Majority of Chinese Restarunts i go to Fill my White Rice Up to the brim! The Quality of the Food was Not that Great... 5/10... Read moreI’m pescatarian as I state to anyone about to serve me. If I’m to eat chicken beef or pork I will get sick. I order sweet and sour shrimp to get all the way home through horrible traffic with chicken 👁️👁️. I do not eat there so I’m think they cut the shrimp in two to eat chicken which tastes funny to me. I call them to let them know they gave me the wrong foods. He told me he will refund and give me the shrimp orders. I said ok repeating what he said to get back there and just gave me the funds back. I was standing waiting for the food and he was about to give me my food and a younger fella said no just her money back 👀 I said nothing to see how they handle their mistake. I drove 25 minutes back to this place I was trying out. Gave me $25 dollars but was willing to keep my change of it, if I did not come back 🤦🏽♀️ Why only Chinese places do this to their customers? It’s not right to the customers to use expensive gas ⛽️ to come back for a mistake the service made and to be devalued. Checking the food, look like what I ordered but wasn’t. As I was in there someone else was back there with the wrong foods as well. I’ve gone/go (us veteran) a lot of places and travel many different countries to say this customer service/ management is not professional. I was being lazy not to cook on Friday night and wasn’t being picky as I normally would be. This morning I am bloated. Meat sauce can make me sick and to eat meat itself have me cramping on my right side all night. I’m also having cramps in my back. I ordered food and after I payed for it I looked in the bag and the food that I ordered wasn't even in the bag so really I spent $20 on NOTHING !! I called up there and was informed that it will take 20min for me to get the remaining food that I was missing . The driver had a problem!! he informed me that the longer we are on the phone the more time he'll have to deliver other peoples food before he delivers mine and how i'm holding up his time.!! NO I didn't get the remaining of my food that I was missing due to the PACKER...... saying that she put the food in my bag but really she didn't . Here's my issue WHY would someone lie about food number one ? Number two why would they try to resend me my stuff that I was missing if they so called put it in the bag? and NUMBER THREE why would the lady other the phone tell me that she can credit it back if there team member put the food that I ordered in the bag????? Doesn't make any sense . I'm still upset about this whole situation !! If anyone knows what I can do other then talk to a manager so this wont happened to anyone please...
