I went to the Sheik, after the gym which I usually do either with my mom or by myself to pickup lunch for both of us after a workout... Sometimes it can get busy, especially during the lunch hour time, but I believe that they handle it well, they are very quick to get your order out... For a sandwich shop that cooks to order and that can get your food out to you so fast, and you will just love the taste of their food, because they do it out of love I believe... The price is so crazy compared to the King 𤴠across the street their burgers may be flamed broiled, but the BK is burnt sometimes and the food is slapped together with to much condiments, enough about the over priced and not so tasty BK!!! Let's talk about the love that the employees show in everything they send out to their customers, I know because I go to this location at least 3 times a week and I haven't had a bad experience yet... (Knock on wood) The staff is always friendly, I usually go through the drive-thru, because I am disabled and I don't like taking my walker out for a short trip, plus I can't carry drinks on it safely... I just want to say; If anyone is looking for: Breakfast - served until (10:30am or 11am can't remember) Lunch - served All Day (5:30am - Close) For Breakfast they have: Breakfast Platter,(Toast, Grits, Eggs, and choice of Meat) Grits, Egg, Cheese, and Meat bowl (choice of Meat) Breakfast Pita Sandwich (either Egg and Cheese, or Egg, Cheese, and choice of Meat) For Lunch they have: Burgers, Different types of Pita Sandwiches, Subs, Fries, and of course soda, tea, and they are well known for their Cherry-Lime Aide If you want a great place to go for your money, then go where I go several times a week... The Sheik Sandwich Shop on 103rd Street, on the West side I-295... Thank you for...
Read moreWe stopped by at 3pm yesterday, the lobby was closed, but the staff was super friendly in the drive through. From what we saw, everything was very clean inside.
We got a chicken pita, giant bacon cheeseburger, and a steak in a sack. -The chicken pita meat was very soft and moist but not very flavorful. The pita bread was fantastic, the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and tasty too. We added some sauce when we got home and it was very tasty. By itself id give it a 6/10. Add sauce and bacon its an easy 8.5/10. -the giant bacon cheeseburger was okay. The bacon was really good, but the patty didn't have a ton of flavor and was a little thin. Again, the veggies on it were fresh. I wasn't a big fan, but it was a hit at the house. They give it a 6.5/10. -The steak in a sack was far and away the best entrĂŠe we got. It had a smokey flavor and paired with the fantastic pita with crisp and chewy outside and warm steak and onion inside, I was deeply satisfied with it. I will be back again for this item. 9/10 easy. I only wish I had some cheese sauce and lettuce to go with it, I'm sure that would make it a 10/10 banger. -The French fries came out super hot, were crispy outside and soft inside. We got them with seasoned salt added. They were not oily at all and didn't have a bad grease taste that a lot of fast food places have. They weren't the best fries I've ever eaten, but everything seems to be simple and fresh, which rates high with me. 9/10 for sure. I wish we got a larger size fries with our combos. -the cherry limeade wasn't good at all, but with some booze and blended ice it became decent.
TL:DR Order the steak in a sack with fries, you...
Read moreI've lived here all my life. And I'm a gramdmother now if that tells you something...but I moved to Georgia for ten years came back home and O couldn't believe what I was eating at "The Shiek". My aunt wirked at both The Shiek & Jack In a Box. And they were Arlingtons' favorite moat popukar diners. Theu were definitely our go to places. This used to be American owned and operated. Dont know for sure if it still is, but regardless...the food here is gross and expensive. The bread is always old and crumbly..the flavor of the food runs together so to speak. If that makes sense. Customer service is never pleasant. Never greets anyone to my knowledge, and never a smile. As if they hate being there and serving you at all. So what's the point? The manager/owner obviously is the same way or this wouldn't be tolerated. And mind you folks..I'm NOT a very picky person when it comes to most food, other than đ. Or making sure my meats are done. Step up your game is all I'm saying. Don't know how you're still opened. I can go to Town Center and get good quality đ, pitas and đ for the same price. Btw we dined in...and soon as we got our tray and sat down..our food was very cold. Appreciate the AC but that's uncalled for....
