A Pizza Shop That Doesn’t Sell Pizza? What a Joke. I’ve been coming to this place once or twice a week — probably one of their most loyal customers. The pizza is good, no question. But the business? The service? Terrible. Tonight I took my wife here to grab some pizza and celebrate her birthday week. While waiting for our usual large to-go order, I asked to buy 4–6 slices. Not free — buy. The same slices that are clearly listed on the menu. The woman at the counter said no. Her reason? “We don’t want to make a pie just to sell slices because we might not sell the rest.” It was 6 PM on a Saturday — two hours before they close. And I’m already buying a whole pie. This made no sense. Let me get this straight: You’re a pizza shop, it’s dinner time, you’re open, your slice prices are on the board… and you’re refusing to sell pizza? This isn’t about slices. It’s about how you treat people who support your business. I’ve spent a lot of money here, regularly, and I got treated like a burden for trying to order more. That’s enough for me. Friendly folks, decent storefront, good pizza. But good pizza alone doesn’t make up for bad business. I’m not coming back.

Pictures just don’t do justice to Brooklyn Pizza Bartram Park. It’s a family owned and operated business which is just one of the many reasons I keep going back. I work at the State Farm down the road and come here for their lunch special (2 slices and a drink for $6.99!) regularly now. The crust is thin but not soggy, the sauce is my favorite part, the flavor and texture both top tier. I had them double slice this cause it’s easier for my littles to handle, the pieces are usually double this size. Cookies 10/10 and I usually prefer something chocolatey. It’s clearly a scratch kitchen and family owned. The owner is so nice and is there every single time I go in. Price is also amazing, I got a Cesar salad for lunch, this XL pizza for dinner and grabbed cookies too, all for $35 including tip. *if you’re not tipping for to go food you should reevaluate your choices*

Best overall NYC experience, even the name Brooklyn Pizza is iconic. First of all I really appreciate they offer the $6.99 two cheese & drink special all day or week. It is raw and can tell even by the decorations that it is just natural to them. Love the straight forward bench setup, where a waiter doesn’t bug you or a takeout place with no seating. Can use all the condiments you want. Can truly relax and eat as long as you want, especially after shopping at the mall, so therefore good parking. They have everything and not just the cliche cheesecake, from can or bottle sodas, to go cookies, legit veggie option, loved the pistachio and ricotta dessert, it was so soft and had all the Italian ingredients but never tasted it before, a wonderful addition. When I moved to FL I went all over the state to look for the basic NY slice.

CUSTOMER SERVICE COULD BE BETTER!

I’m new to the area and decided to give this place a try. It seemed I came in at the right time as there was only one person ahead of me. I wanted a single slice but was told it would be at least 20 minutes because they didn’t have slices ready to go so I ordered 2 calzones instead.

I waited but started to notice that 9 customer who came after me, within a span of 25 minutes, received their orders. I go up to the register to ask about my order and the older guy (might be the owner) literally shrugged his shoulders, turned away from me and returned to making pizzas! Then I heard him say to another worker, “if they keep complaining, I’m going to make them wait longer.” That was the first time I approached to ask about my order! A few minutes passed and I saw them place my calzones in the oven. I place my order more than 25 minutes ago and they never even started my order!!! It took over 45 minutes total to get order. The food was okay.

Another customer, placed an order for a pepperoni pizza but was given cheese pizza. The guy asked about his order and was told he ordered a cheese pizza. The customer seemed adamant he ordered pepperoni but decided to just take the order to avoid the conflict.

A separate customer who was in line after me was picking up an order that was called in and was told her order wasn’t ready. She asked if she could go to a store nearby and return in a few minutes to pick up her order and they were fine with it. She after 35-40 minutes later and they had the order wrong. I heard her say they were trying to give her an additional pizza when she only ordered one with half and half toppings. The order was wrong and they were trying to make her pay for it. She said never mind and started walking out. Apparently the order was nearly $50. The older man yelled, “What are we supposed to do with the pizza?!” to which she replied back as she left, “It’s not my order!”

This all happened within the hour I was there. It may have been an off day but they don’t seem to deal with being busy very well. Food was decent. Needless to say, if you want to give it a try, either expect a wait, and if ordering carry out, double...

Can’t rate the food, cause they didn’t even bother cooking it, we called over the phone and placed our order, guy didn’t ask for our phone number or name or anything and we just wanted to double check that they did in fact get the order and just see how much it’d be/when we could pick it up, we’ll be had us repeat our order for him to write down again, no biggie, and told us the price and when it’d be ready, what do you know, we go in and the order never got placed, on top of that they are out of garlic knots, which normally is fine but not only did we order once, we called and confirmed and left our number, there was plenty of time in between all that to let us no there were no garlic knots. Cherry on top we were being blamed, they said we hung up the phone, and when we called a second time they didn’t know if we actually had wanted it, and they did nothing to help find a solution, we walked away for a second to talk about wether we just wanted to replace the order AGAIN or just go somewhere else and they thought we got mad and left and were shocked we had come back and just had such a rude attitude about all of it. I was a server, I understand the process and I know accidents and mistake happen, my boyfriend had worked at a couple pizza places in the past, but the way this entire situation was handled? That’s the ridiculous part, to blame us and then get rude as well? Don’t care if your foods great, the staff and (were assuming by looks but could be wrong)...

I am the director of Just 4 Kids Learning Academy on Losco Road in Mandarin. Our summer camp children (ages 5 to 12) had just finished a community service visit to Augustine Landing Retirement Village where our children sang songs for the residents there and visited with them before going to Tijuana Flats at Bartram Park to eat lunch. We had 45 children and 6 counselors eating in the outside dining area of Tijuana Flats when one of the owners of Brooklyn Pizza (next door) began taking pictures of our children. When approached by one of our counselors asking this owner to please not take photos of our children without prior permission and their parents' permission, this man proceeded to cuss out my summer camp counselor using extreme f words and the like, all in the presence of our children. Of course we immediately reported this abusive behavior to the manager of Tijuana Flats. We trust that they in turn took care of this issue with the Brooklyn Pizza owners as at the time of this incident, our children and counselors were patrons and guests of Tijuana Flats. Obviously, this establishment (Brooklyn Pizza) does not care for children and displays this dislike in front of them. We felt everyone should know of this businesses character towards children and those individuals who have dedicated their careers to protecting and...
