Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Jacksonville

After ordering a $45 delivery for myself and my children at approx. 11:45 am, I received a text 45 minutes later from my delivery driver stating that they were short staffed and that she was helping make sandwiches. She stated she was leaving now but she had 3 other deliveries before mine. I then asked for an ETA. About 10 to 15 minutes later, rather than giving an ETA, she gave me information on her present location that I had no understanding of (a skybridge at the P2 parking garage). I then asked how much longer it would be. I was told by the driver, "I'm really sorry. My other customer had similar name and I gave her your order". I thought this very strange since my name doesn't look/sound similar to any girl's name that I know of. She said I could call the store. I called and spoke with the manager. After talking about this he said they only had one driver (one driver for a delivery service store - that info might be pertinent info up front). He offered me a free sandwich coupon. I stated that I'm really upset how this was handled across the board and I would not have ordered if I knew it was going to take an hour or more. We had plans that involved receiving and eating our lunch before heading out to our plans. I said that maybe he should at least offer two free sandwiches. Unbelievably, he then hung up the phone. Even though I couldn't believe he did this,I tried calling back because I didn't even know whether my lost food order had been cancelled from my CC. He answered and then hung up again. I just couldn't believe that a manager, the head of customer service of a restaurant, hung up on me and will not handle or rectify this better. I called from another phone and the driver answered the phone and said she would get the manager. I was then just left on hold He never came to the phone. Worst service and customer service I've ever encountered. And above all else, this person has no place being in a managerial position anywhere ever. This place deserves...

I have used this Jimmy John’s for years and have always had a good experience. Today that was not the case. I received a delivery order and was enjoying my sandwich, but bit into my sandwich and heard/felt a very loud crunch. After inspection I had a pebble sized rock in my sandwich.

I called the store and spoke to the manager. At first, he sounded stunned and was apologetic. Asked if I wanted a refund, which should have been a given. Also, offered a free a sandwich. I declined both as I was hoping for something more, which again, probably not a right answer in this situation. The manager stated they checked the food and did not see anything else.

I end the conversation and felt very confused how the manager handled the situation. I called back and said I actually would take a refund and did not need another sandwich. The manager did not have a very pleasant tone and was slightly condescending and called me darling over and over. I made it clear I didn’t appreciate that tone. I’ve worked in customer service for years and was so disappointed. I’m not sure if I cracked a tooth so I will have to go and get that checked out. Overall, I’m concerned how this was handled and how the heck a pebble sized rock got into the food. The food safety should be looked at as it could have been worse. I will more than likely not go back to this restaurant.

I appreciate all service industry workers because it is not an easy job dealing with all types of people, but I am so frustrated that the manager was lacking compassion and understanding. Made it seem like since no one else complained it’s just me...

Came in for a quick dinner option. I stopped in around 8:30 pm ordered two Mediterranean wraps. Simple right. There was no one else in the store, with 2 to go orders ahead of me. I told the dude at the cashier, I want two Mediterranean wraps, he rang up two Cesar chicken wraps. I wasn’t given a receipt so didn’t even realize he punched in the wrong order until my sandwiches were made. Told the young lady making the sandwiches, I ordered the Mediterranean I’ll wait for a remake. I asked her to 86 the feta cheese on one of the sandwiches, she said ok. Of course when she’s done making the sandwiches she didn’t think to label the one without cheese and just hands them to me. I had to ask which one is no feta. She was about to reopen the wrap by that time I’m frustrated and told her don’t bother I’ll figure it out myself. She handed me back the two wraps without bagging them. Seriously. I had to walk to the other end of the counter to get a bag. Oh, and she tried to use the filling from the incorrect wrap (chicken Cesar) and put it in my wraps but because I stood at the counter watching her make them she stopped. Really poor shitty customer service, and incompetent employees. Would not recommend the Mediterranean wrap or this Jimmy John’s. I’m glad I only got one with feta because the cheese overpowers the taste of the whole meal....
