Came here for lunch after a day of thrifting with a friend. I wanted to know if they had gluten free crust and they did. They also had vegan cheese. I asked about pesto and they had that too. Finally I was able to enjoy a pizza after so long. I thanked the cashier profusely because I love pizza and I missed eating it. I made sure to add pepperoni for old times sake. The place is pretty spacious. Staff is chill and laid back also. There's a massive menu on the wall right before you order. The gluten free crust only comes in the 10" size. It's also thin crust. My friend ordered their lunch special. Two slices of pizza with ham and mushroom as well as a drink. The cashier noticed I was wearing a Beetlejuice shirt, and gave me a Beetlejuice sign for when the person would bring the order out. I thought that was really cute the way they do their signs, and how they just happened to have a Beetlejuice one. I would definitely love to come back here in the future so I can try other variations of the gluten free crust. It's a different flavor obviously, but still good nonetheless. I also asked if they did delivery or third party, and they said no. So I definitely need to come...

After all the good reviews on this place, we took a chance and drove from the beach for a New Year celebratory dinner.

You walk up to order, Khalid was very helpful explaining the different pies, and salads. My wife wanted a beer, Khalid told her IPA options, even letting her taste them! We ordered the Cheesy sticks (I think that's what they're called), Slice of Veggie Pizza, and a White Pizza (added Pepperoni). Gwen brought our cheesy bread with a side of house made marinara (as are all their ingredients. Which was tasty, and super cheesy. Yum! My favorite was the veggie pizza slice. The veggies were all fresh and colorful, green and black olives, tons of garlic and cheese. Omg, so good.

Finally, Belda brought our White pizza, checking to see if we were taken care of. All staff was masked up (greatly appreciated), and the place clean. The "Oldies" (80's Alternative) was playing, and this old man enjoyed.

We will go back, this place is a winner, but its the people who make it a great...

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS pizza. BUT. We’re back and forth from a home renovation, living out of a hotel, so we search for good places to eat. We were starving and googled “top rated pizza near me.” (New to Jax from out of state.) When I walked into the restaurant with my husband and kids, the cashier already had an unfriendly look on her face and didn’t even smile. Ordered a plain and veggie pie but when the waitress delivered veggie pie to the table I asked if I could have it more “well done” bc I don’t necessarily like the gooey look of the mozz and I like the veggies more cooked. She said “NO, bc it’s already cut and unsanitary to put it back into the oven.” I wonder how they serve by the slice when it’s pre-cut and they have place it back into an oven to warm it, in order to serve it? Group of college locals behind us got really nice treatment but unfortunately we didn’t that day.

Willing to try again bc the pizza tasted great and will hopefully get a better greeting...

I saw on The Zen Butcher Company FB page that they have vegan calzone with the Zen Butcher Italian vegan sausage as an option. “Sign me up” thought to myself. My husband and I hopped in the car and drove to Moon River Pizza asap. When it was our turn to order, I asked if they have the vegan calzone, to which the girl at the cash register responded “What’s a calzone?”. My husband and I looked at each other with our eyebrows raised all the way to our hairlines. Good thing another cashier stepped in and clarified that yes, they have calzone, vegan style. We ordered, sat in a booth, and waited for our food. It didn’t take that long. It came out hot and was a sizable portion. We thought it was tasty. I just wish they’d use the Zen Butcher vegan cheese instead of the Daiya one. I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for that awkward “What’s a calzone?” moment.
