Wok N Roll — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Ive been ordering from this place for the past 5 years...the food has always been really good..At some point, it seems like theyre under new management and the food has gotten even better..I didnt even think that was possible! Everything is always above and beyond expectations as if, unlike other establishments, they actually take pride in serving the best of the best. I have NEVER been disappointed and Im a bit ashamed that Ive never posted a review in the entire 5 years I ordered from them. I always get the bbq spareribs, cheese rolls and usually some other variable but the fact they are consistant, is what keeps me loyal. I cant even eat at other chinese food places because they are nowhere near as good as this specific Wok N Roll. After the shutdown and they were closed i DID go thru a diff drive-thru down Normandy and the food was sub par at best. I ended up feeing it to my dogs and ordered pizza for myself.. As soon as i got the text that they were open again, i was so excited that I told my mom and brother that they were open and i ordered from them the same day. No other Chinese food spot could possibly compare to this place. What prompted my review today is that theyve changed the way that they do the fried dumplings but I'm not sure when.. In the past, they seemed to be more pan fried but still delicious. TODAY, they came and it seemed like theyre deep fried, like they do in the traditional eat in Chinese restaurants( my go to is Pagoda on Baymeadows Rd because their have really good dim sum).. I was so excited about this because i prefer them cooked by this method and now that's how theyre doing it! How amazing is that!? The dumplings were already good, the pan fried way, but the fact that they are now doing it the deep fried way, I'm over the moon! I have nothing but accolades for this restaurant and the only thing i ever hoped for was the deep fried dumplings and a dim sim situation, specifically steamed pork buns..but after today, there's nothing anyone can tell me about any other Chinese restaurant! I do wish they'd do dim sum, but MAN their food is so good and perfectly prepared, who needs dim sum..those fried dumplings today, THOSE are what confirmed that the Wok N Roll on Edgewood is def the best of the best. They never disappoint . i will say that their food is a buck or 2 more than other places but the quality and quanitity alone make up for that 1 or 2 bucks..I'm forever a stan. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot, you'll be ruined for all other chinese food places.. Also, shout out to the delivery driver, he's always such a adorable sweetheart.. Please don't waste your time here. My order was 30 something dollars and we got it delivered. My husband gave the driver a 50$ bill and the driver REFUSESD to give the change back to my husband saying it was required to tip. We were gonna tip the man anyways but the point was he wasn't going to give us our change back. As the driver was leaving he told my husband we should of ordered door dash instead. I got in contact with the restaurant manager to which he told me 99.99999% of people tip. Like I said we were going to tip him the point was he refused to give us the change and demanded a tip. The manager then told me it was my husbands fault because the driverdidnt speak English. All he kept saying was people usually tip. THE POINT WAS THE DELIVERY DRIVER WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE MANAGER STILL NLAMED US. I even asked the manager does he let his employees do that tip customers which he replied with my address was 5 miles au not 3. They could of refused my service like the others did if the drive was an issue. All the manager did was make it seem like our fault. Why would you think its okay to demand a tip and try to just leave with the money. Even upon us going to tip him making a rude comment when it was brought up....

I have called them on two different occasions. Where on both occasions hung on me rudely. This second occasion they hung up on me 4 times after the 4ths time they took my order put my card in incorrectly then told me “your card has no money” and hung up again. When I attempted to call back my call kept getting ‘disconnectes’. We attempted on my daughter line which is similar to mine and she was so ignored. For final time we called on my sons and I asked if they were open they stated they were and I asked why they hung up on me. They said your card has no money. I said I have money there is no reason to hang up on me 4 times and once again they disconnected me. I went to the location with my daughter to find out what the problem was and the woman accused me of demanding free food. All I wanted her to do was retype my card number which she declined to do. I asked to speak to a manager and pointed at a random employee and stated she was ‘like’ the assistant manager. I told her I didn’t want to speak with her I wanted to speak with a manager she started to completely ignore me. I have never been treated so...
