Visited the location on Edgewood Ave in Jacksonville, FL on 8/20/2021 at 6:45 PM. The bartenders were very nice and took our drink order immediately. We ordered appetizers; wings and a Pretzel. (disappointed that 8 small wings cost $16.95) wings were good and the pretzel was burnt and dried out. We were going to order pizza; but at that moment I noticed that neither the pizza maker or oven cook were not wearing masks nor hair nets or hats. We told the bartender about this violation and she reported it to the manager. I noticed the manager telling them they must wear a mask then the two cooking put a mask on and didn't wash their hands after touching the mask and then they starting touching pizza dough and dishes. Seconds later they both had their masks under there chins not covering the nose and mouth. The manager was well aware that these were pulled under the chin because he was on the pass delivering the food. The bartenders were wearing the masks correctly however the rest of the staff either wore the mask under the chin or did not have the nose covered. We didn't discuss any further with the bartenders or the manager because obviously they just don't care about the customers health or well-being. My husband and I were just released to go outside due to quarantining with Covid for several weeks and we felt disgusted that this restaurant would allow this. I'm done with this place after being a long time...
Read moreI’ve recently been to this new place in the Murray Hill area. When I walked in I was greeted by the bartenders and pizza staff. The decor is really cool. There’s all sorts of comic pictures everywhere, a life-size Deadpool and Harley Quinn statue. I can’t wait for Football season to start, they have TVs everywhere and bottomless mimosas on Sundays until 230. I happen to walk in during happy hour- sat at the bar and ordered with Trish (she makes great Lemon Drop shots btw). All the apps were 25% off and drinks were 50% off. I had fries and bushmaster wings to start off with. If you like hand cut fresh fries then this is the place to get them. I did see that the wings I ordered were cooked in their 1000 degree wood fire pizza oven. Definitely a must for an app. After reading some reviews I feel like those people fail to realize this is a different style of pizza. This is 100% authentic Neapolitan pizza and should not be compared to Little Caesar’s, Papa Johns or even Mellow Mushroom. I ordered The Rocks Meat Lovers pizza. Pizza came out fairly quick and extremely hot. The dough is extremely light, I almost ate the whole pizza by myself. LOL! I spoke with the Pizza makers and in conversation they told me the mozzarella, the sauce and flour are imported from Italy. All in all, hands down, a great new place. Also a plus- they have a pet...
Read moreLunch at Fired Up Pizza did not disappoint! Service was quick. We were able to sit out on the patio and still see our pizza being prepared. Everything came out fresh. The pizza crust was cooked perfectly and the level of spice was just right. You can tell a lot of time went into crafting their pizza recipe. The mozzarella they use is delicious. Definitely recommend checking out if you find yourself in the Murray Hill area.
We ordered: ▪️Garden Salad ▪️Wedge Salad ▪️14” Diavola Pizza [San Marzano style tomatoes, fresh Fior Di Latte Mozzarella cheese, all natural Citterio Pepperoni, spicy Soppressata-Salami, crushed red pepper, and fresh basil]
“To make it authentic, the Raikes family hired the master award-winning pizza-making chef, Attilio Albachiara, and flew him in from Naples, Italy to teach the correct method of Neapolitan pizza making to their staff.
The custom-made pizza oven, the Le 5 Stagioni Pizza Napoletana Italian “00” Soft Wheat Flour, and the Marzano tomatoes are all imported directly, fresh from Italy, representing the original Neapolitan way. To take it one step further, the Raikes family installed “The New York Watermaker” system into the plumbing. This creates water that emulates fresh Brooklyn, NY water, thus resulting in an amazing...
