Sad about leaving this review, but they need to fix some things.
The icing was my bar tab. I ordered and old fashioned. Then later a scotch with one ice cube. I was charged some very odd things.
Old fashioned rang up as an $8 makers and $4 mixer. Ok, I can accept that. More expensive than some other spots but reasonable.
My shot of scotch. (Dewars) rang up as $8 Knob creek and $4 mixer. (Remember, I had no mixer)
So then my wife ordered a gin and tonic double. It came tall which she didn’t ask for, but ok. Not a huge deal. That was rung up as $6 gin and $4 mixer. Plus $6 gin and $2 mixer. So her one drink that should have been a double short, was $18.
When we pointed this out, they said it was correct. For both. They said that’s just how their system works.
So basically, they are telling me they can’t ring up the correct product that I ordered. And they have to add mixers when I order it on the rocks. Plus they have to ring my wife’s as two full separate drinks with mixers instead of one double.
Side note… my chicken quesadilla was supposed to be blackened chicken and it was plain. I mentioned it and got a “want me to have them remake it”. At least he offered. It was flavorless, but edible.
Honestly. The best part though was that I had barely started drinking my scotch and he took it, thinking it was empty. Since it was a small pour with one ice cube, I guess he thought I was done when it wasn’t even half gone.
I was overall super disappointed in the mediocre food and ridiculous prices that didn’t match what I actually ordered. Then the justification of their “system” when I...
Read moreI just ordered DoorDash delivery of a very basic item from this store. I assure you it arrived hot and timely, but the quality of food Ruby Tuesday put in the order was a mere tiny shriveled chicken strips I am not accustomed to receiving from Ruby Tuesday. I’ve been going less and less over the years because the quality of food they are serving is poor plebeian status child portion sad excuse for any 4 or 5 star rated restaurant! It’s clear this location on Hodges Blvd near JTB has poor management as the restaurant company which I used to F’n work for has gone down considerably. My employment there was over a decade now but I remember when the portion sizes were bigger, tastier, and crisper. Ruby Tuesday regrettably has lost my patronage forever and will continue to tell others not to contribute to a company who cares less and less about its prospects and patrons. The feeling I had when I saw my food was disgust and as if I’ve been metaphorically slapped in the face for mis trusting the pictures of quality food I see online and from my early on experiences. I think the company has either lost its way or this specific location needs better staff. Save your money people. Eat somewhere where you can comfortably say makes you feel at home with people that are...
Read moreIf you're staying at the Holiday Inn Express next to Ruby Tuesday, I get it—it's right there, and it feels familiar. I’ve eaten here multiple times over the years while in town for Mayo visits, hoping for a comforting, easy meal. But after this last visit, I can’t recommend it.
Service has always been slow and a little disorganized, but this time the manager was outright rude. With 2 other tables sat and 5 people at the bar, I waited over 30 minutes for a steak that came out charred on top and well-done (I ordered medium). When I sent it back, the replacement was undercooked and served with attitude, no apology, no follow-up. I’ve worked in restaurants—I know things happen—but this didn’t feel like a bad night. It felt like the person who should care the most couldn't have cared less.
So here’s my tip for fellow travelers: ✅ New Culver’s just across the street! Great burgers, fast service, and friendly staff. ✅ Got a car? Head 5 minutes to San Pablo or Beach Blvd—TONS of better options nearby. ✅ No car? Walk over to Publix in the same parking lot. Grab a Pub Sub, fried chicken, something from the bakery. Bring it back to the hotel and enjoy.
Ruby Tuesday used to feel nostalgic, but nostalgia only takes you so far. Go where they actually...
