I’ve been a loyal Starbucks customer every single day for the past 21 years. For the last 5 years, my go-to location has been at West Peyton Pavilion Dr in Jacksonville, FL. The Americano I order daily is always rich, bold, and perfectly made—exactly what I expect from Starbucks quality. However, my experience at the Hodges Blvd location has been consistently disappointing. I’ve given it multiple chances, but each time the Americano I receive is weak, watery, and far from what I’m used to. Today was no different—and unfortunately, it was also the last straw. I politely approached the older lady her name Kathy at the counter and explained, kindly, that I’ve noticed the Americanos here are always light and not consistent with what I get at other Starbucks. I simply asked for an extra shot of espresso to bring the flavor up to standard. Her response was cold and unfriendly: “Yes, but I have to charge you.” I replied that I wasn’t looking for something free—I just wanted the drink to match the quality I expect and pay for every day. Instead of offering understanding or a solution, she made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed. She even spoke to her coworker, who doubled down with the same dismissive tone. I left feeling deeply disappointed—not because of a bad coffee, but because of the complete lack of customer care. I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for consistency, respect, and the product Starbucks is known for. Today, this store failed on all fronts. I will not return to the Hodges Blvd location again.

Went to Starbucks today around 7pm on 5/4. So I usually get the same thing every time I go to Starbucks (caramel frapp w extra drizzle in the cup) except this time I went and I ended up disappointed. They put so much Caramel that when I went to stick my straw in and drink it it was like a tiny bit of coffee and all this caramel I was sucking up through the straw. I tried to mix it around but it did nothing. Way too much. Wish I took a picture of what it initially looked like but there was 1/2 an inch of caramel at the bottom as well as the cup being overdosed in it. Literally just drank caramel. Ended up having to wait till I got home to pour it into another cup and throw out the rest at the bottom that was covered in caramel and the cup. Should’ve just gotten it made regular if I knew they were gonna put half a bottle of caramel in it. Usually love Starbucks but not this time.

As someone who strives to not use disposable plastic in my life, I have many reusable cups, bowls Etc. I was deeply disappointed in this Starbucks as they made my drink and a plastic disposable container despite me having brought in a container of my own that is marked with the capacity on the bottom. I also let the woman at the front counter know the ounce capacity of the cup that I brought in for them to use. What is the purpose of bringing in my own cup if Starbucks is going to add one to the world's garbage regardless? A metal cup could be used to measure the different parts of the drink just as easily. What a waste.

I really thought when they built this stand alone building, things would be better. I was very wrong. I usually order coffee through mobile ordering twice a week. I have 2 drinks in my order each time. My order is never ready when I arrive, which is a good 5-10 minutes past the time it’s supposed to be completed. This morning was no different. I placed my mobile order at 7:09. It was supposed to be completed by 7:19. I arrived at 7:21 (yes, only 3 minutes after bc I was running late). My order was not completed until 7:25. When you are trying to get somewhere by 7:30, this really screw things up. I would say within this past year, my coffee has been ready when I arrived/at the correct time, only 5 times. Often I am waiting upwards of 10-15 minutes past when my order should’ve been completed. I honestly could get through the long drive thru line faster than that. What is the point of mobile ordering if you can’t keep up? Also, my drink is frequently made incorrectly, and the only thing I’m changing is adding an additional shot of espresso. It will have too much syrup or the extra shot that I pay for will be completely omitted, forcing me to return to the location to have my drink remade. I do not have this problem when visiting other Starbucks locations around town. This one is the closest to me, so it is the one I frequent the most. No one even speaks to you at this location when you come in. They don’t make any effort to even see what you are waiting...

I’ve only been to Starbucks like THREE times in my entire life, so this morning I go and I tell the guy (Ben) taking orders that will just order my order on the app so I can look at the menu and decide what I’d like. Because there’s no menu with him standing there taking orders on the iPad. He then proceeds to tell someone that on the headset followed by, “I don’t feel like arguing with anyone about this today. So I’ll just let them order.”

I then tell him that I’ll just park and order it and come back in line. It was really unprofessional and uncomfortable and not to mention rude to do that especially in front of the customer… when he could have just told me that they would rather me not do that there or to get back in line and order. It was really uncomfortable the whole situation… I ended up just deciding what I wanted and went back through the line. Politely explaining that it would be preferable and would cause an inconvenience would have been nice instead of being rude about a customer in front of them. I just didn’t think it would be an issue with how long the line was and due to the fact I’ve placed mobile orders in line at many different places before.

That was really a disappointing experience first thing in...
