I’ve always thought that Sadler's Kitchen was the best in Jacksonville! We’ve used their catering many times and have always been very pleased with the food and service. Their pies are amazing!! So you can imagine the disappointment when we used them to cater a baby shower last week and found a worm in the green beans. I think the most disheartening thing about the situation is that after bringing this to their attention, there was no response! 07/31/24 and still no response. We paid over $200. Not even a simple acknowledgement and apology. Yes, things happen… it’s food and I’m sure they used canned green beans and they could have come that way, etc. but do we not have a responsibility to really check what we our serving people? I just think a little customer service skills could have gone a long way.

Great restaurant, centrally located, and fun atmosphere. Menu is thoughtfully contemplated and designed. Full bar. Kitchen delivers the goods with care. Food tastes SO good. I am impressed. Dine-in service is polite and friendly. Patrons are friendly. Facility is well maintained and clean. Restaurant is well run and managed. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Perfect spot adjacent to downtown Jacksonville with plenty of parking. Family friendly, with the hospitality and inclusion that generally runs most all businesses in Jacksonville, Texas. Be certain to save room for dessert. You'd be a fool to miss this restaurant's sweet offerings.

Great service in a unique building. Wife had the jalapeño filet which was excellent but expensive. I had the jalapeño pork loin that came out dry which was disappointing. The side dishes were surprisingly good (macaroni and cheese, asparagus, potato casserole, squash casserole). We’re going to try Sadlers again but order from the regular menu instead of the specials.

My wife and I are in town from Fort Worth for the weekend to visit my mother. Mom wanted to try this place for the first time since she'd heard some good things. We got there around 7pm and went inside and could see several empty tables yet we had to stand there about 5 minutes before being taken to a table. I ordered a beer and the ladies ordered soft drinks. The beer was brought to the table right away but it was well over 10 minutes later before someone brought the soft drinks. The guy who brought the drinks said the waitress would be right there to get our orders. We sat there for 15-20 more minutes and no one came by the table so I left cash on the table for the beer and we left. On the way out I told the older lady at the register that we had really been looking forward to trying the food but we'd been there for probably 45 minutes already and had yet to see a server. She said she was sorry but offered no explanation and made no appeal for us to stay. Incredibly disappointing experience. I doubt we'll...

We drove down from Tyler after seeing lots of Facebook buzz about Sadler’s. The service was definitely a highlight—our servers were sweet and attentive.

The food, however, was hit-or-miss. The Brisket Nachos looked nothing like the promo photos—plainer with less brisket, though still tasty. Entrées like the Country Fried Chicken Strips, Brisket Quesadilla, Grilled Salmon, and the Wagyu Flat Iron Steak special were good, not great. Sides were average (the wedge salad stood out, but the green beans were forgettable), and they were out of the fried Brussels sprouts I wanted to try. Dessert—the chocolate cream pie—was fine but unremarkable.

For what we got, the $140 bill with tip felt overpriced. Sadler’s is a pleasant restaurant with good service, but the food quality doesn’t quite justify the cost. Worth a stop if you’re already in Jacksonville, but I wouldn’t make the special trip again.

⭐ Service:...
