The service or atmosphere I can not yet give an honest account of as I've only eaten from here by Doordash, but I can say this. If the atmosphere and service meet the quality of the food I was given for my money and the quantity, then the atmosphere from the sounds of things in the background would be amazing. When I called asking about cilantro, what it is in and not in, they were knowledgeable and were correct and no cilantro, "which taste like dishsoap to me" was in anything I ordered. Great phone communication and following instructions from a Doordash order and an amazing burrito like I make myself instead of one thing. I marinate my chicken and then grill or cook it in a cast iron pan with Goya EVOO and Goya pollo seasoning mix that yes has scary MSG which like anything else is bad in large daily amounts everyday, every meal but enjoyed like everything should be in moderation is fine. If it raises your bp every time you eat it, then you most likely have high BP naturally. If this happens, then you either have one of a few or more issues. High bp was already an issue. Msg just makes a self-made issue worse, or you are on the path to a very poor diet. Poor genetics do to past family choices, your fault, no, but why we should be aware. If every family member is dead or missing limbs by 60, obviously, issues already exist from 1. use of msg daily 2. If your family history is at risk for heart issues or strokes or other vascular issues, cardiac abnormalities like AAAs, fluid retention, infractions, or anything, then obviously... stay away from msg. But please don't kill something that adds unique flavors to a good food by use of Goya seasonings that contain msg and instead request an alternative as most restaurants have just plain chicken breast there unless you're vegan. Their food is big enough to feed a famiy of 4.... just stay away from cilantro unless by request. That's literally encoded on people's like myself DNA like some eating MSG which I don't deny anyone nor do I deny anyone MSG as well but notice I called and asked what had cilantro and didn't before I ever placed my order on doordash so I knew what to avoid ahead of time so I was safe from eating cilantro and something that tasted like Dawn dish detergent the original blue kind which I used to get my mouth rinsed out with and tastes very much so bad but I stated I called first before I ordered to see what needed to be done if it could be done even and then place my order and happily did not regret my order at all and I'm over satisfied with it some of the most authentic and best Tex-Mex burritos I've ever had other than the ones I personally make myself no offense and sorry but they're way better but that's why because I used to Goya seasoning on my chicken overnight after I've cut it up as well so it gets permeated and all the meat not just the outside or if I don't dice or slice the chicken I at least poke holes in it with a fork and then put it in my Goya mix with water and lime juice and whatever seasonings I wish to use plus the Goya seasoning and which Goya is also one of those brands that contains that seal and tastes very good just to drink out of the bottle by itself and is also very good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have to say i have been here now 3 times after moving to this side of town. First couple of times no problem. This time was the exception. I place my order online " Milanesa" (Breaded skirt steak ) rice and beans salad and a couple of tortillas. Normally pretty good. I order this on my home from work today, pick up my order in my tied up bag and drove 10 min to my house to enjoy my dinner. Open to order and to my dismay only thing in there is my steak and my complimentary chips and salsa. I call the restaurant and explain the situation and was told i could come back. So inconvenient yes , but it happens. I drive 10 min back up to the restaurant and explained the situation again waited another 5 min and they bring out another tied up to go bag and it yet again is just another steak but not the complete order. So the hostess apologizes again and goes back into the kitchen to explain the mix up. Upon her coming back out and informs me that it will take a few minutes. At this point i ask can they just remake my order as of this point i don't want a cold steak with warm rice and beans. The hostess then stuns me by informing me that if i wanted that they would have to charge me again to make me another one! I asked if she was serious in wanting to charge me for their mistake, she informed me that was their policy. Whether that's true or not or maybe she mis-spoke or maybe she didn't but i am the manager of a very successful business and if myself or any member of my staff made an honest mistake we would apologize and do anything in our power to make it right. Rather than make a scene i take my now completed order and drive another 10 min back to home and try to enjoy my now approximate 40 min cold steak and warm rice and beans. That tasted about as good as you can imagine. That being said i will no longer frequent this restaurant. If you can't solve a simple mistake you don't deserve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review was in 2019, read below for updated review. I read the reviews, and the one common thing I read was that the service sucked. Yet we still went. I actually was expecting bad service. Not only was the service bad, it was worse than I thought it was going to be. We ordered food, and after that order, we didn't see the waitress until our food was done. We were low on chips and out of salsa and soda. I also wanted a tv channel changed, but I didn't even bother as they couldn't get the restaurant part right. Well, let's talk about the food. Salsa was better than some places, but the fact it's called Salsas, it's a shame it's not the best. Entrees weren't spectacular. Like someone else mentioned, their beans are "watery" is an accurate description. Chicken had a funny taste. We will not be back. 2022-June review: well let's just say service has definitely gotten better. Which made the experience much better. Decent place for a meal. Prices are reasonable and portions were plenty. Salsa was great! And the spicy salsa was even better! Love it. I'll be back. I'm glad I gave this place another go. Dining chairs were too heavy for me to move around, as I had kids so I had to keep getting up and down. Other than that it was a great idea. Update 09-06-2022: other than the rude/not happy to be there wait staff, everything else was good. I say that as the staff we got really should no be a waitstaff. Didn't come around much unless we asked other happy staff members or really flagged them down. I also don't think she was having a bad day. i think that was just her. Update 01-31-24 Jessica was an absolute angel. She got our drinks right away, food was a delight. We ordered the mix fajitas for 2. It was a very reasonable size dish. Salsa and chips seem to be lacking. It used to be better, but seems watered down now. Sorry for the pictures of our food half eaten, but we...
