Seafood Carry-Out — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I was very hesitant about visiting this place based on the building but do not let the looks fool you. It was amazing.

The building is double sided though. I can not contest the validity of the “fresh sea food” because I did not order from there. However, I did get food from the restaurant side. 2 catfish sandwiches and a side of hush puppies. Total came up to $8.03 which was reasonable. Took it home and it was the best thing ever.

My husband and I were so incredibly disappointed with the food we got from this place. We had such high hopes, and we spent almost $40 because we each wanted to try different things. The fried oysters smelled and tasted bad. My husband said his catfish and shrimp were okay, and my scallops were as well, but the fried clams, hushpuppies, potato salad, and cole slaw all had a very strong, bitter aftertaste. This was my first time ordering and after a rocky start, it was wonderful. So helpful and courteous. And Miss Gabrielle helped me to my car with my food. The catfish, fries, cole slaw, lemonade and sweet tea were terrific. The patrons were kind as well.
