I live close by the Loop in San Marco, but I don't frequent it much, why? Because every single time I dine-in or order to go,there is a problem with my order. Once they forgot to give me silverware on a to go with my salad for lunch,no big deal,I should have checked. The most recent visit, the young man just ignored me while I was right in front of him trying to order,so I ordered to go eventually,a large chicken, garlic, spicy cilantro pizza and an oreo milkshake, the issue was they did not put jalapeños,nor any garlic, zero, and the chicken was too crispy and not enough. Oh,and the milkshake was frozen solid and had no whipped cream and no cherry. Why did they ask me if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry but not add that? They did not even blended it,they just handed me a solid ice-cream in the cup. I love The Loop, but the one at San Marco sucks so bad,I would never ever go there again. I gave them many times a chance to make it right, but they are not doing a good job there, and I have been returning year after year and still sucks. If I could give it a minus zero I would. Shame on you. Learn from the Loop in Fernandina Beach, they are excellent in every way, they are not slackers, they don't ignore you while you are standing in front of whoever is suppose to take your order, they know what they are doing, unlike at the one in San Marco. I took pictures of the pizza and the sorry oreo milkshake. While sitting in my car,I contemplated going back to the Loop and get my money back but I had parked far and I was tired and dissapointed about another messed up order,I was just glad I didn't wasted more of my money there. Incomplete, inadequate food, terrible customer service. I don't recommend this specific one,go to any other one but this one, save yourselves a bad experience. Management, please do something...
Read moreWe have been to this location plenty of times. Not sure of what happened to the quality. We called to order to go because Uber eats is just a joke. We ordered a bbq bacon cheddar burger rare with double meat and a side of fries. A mushroom Swiss burger medium rare with no bun and a side of crispy fries with 3 cups of ranch. And an order of warm blue cheese chips. They said fifteen minutes. So I drove up there after about ten minutes. Due to it being in San Marco you know parking is horrible. I walked in and stood in line to pay and after paying the person behind the counter said that it would be a few more minutes. I waited for a few minutes and then walked back up to see if it had come out but it wasn’t. I did this a couple more times to no avail. So then I decided to stand by the counter just waiting. Then after a few more minutes I asked again to a different person working and they found it sitting in a different area and it had been ready for over fifteen minutes. I’m just ready to get it and go by this time so I head home. Once home we get ready to eat only to find out fries are now onion rings. Burgers are both cooked beyond well done. No bbq in my bbq bacon cheddar burger. Not one drop of ranch after ordering three cups of ranch. So after seeing all this my wife called to let them know only to receive a sorry about your luck coffee cup attitude from the lady on the phone. I wish that google would allow a zero star rating for this one. Maybe management can figure out what went wrong. But forty bucks for two burgers and chips seems that the extra price would insure...
Read moreI've visited and eaten at this specific The Loop location for 10+ years. As a long time fan of the restaurant, this is location is easily my favorite. The manager, Audrey, is always so friendly, welcoming, and on top of service. She recognizes my voice on the phone and even knows what I like with my order (extra ranch)! The busboy (sorry, I don't know his name but I feel like he's worked there forever) is very attentive, friendly, and he does such a wonderful job keeping tables clean and available. I never gave leaving a review much thought because this restaurant has always been consistently a wonderful place to eat lunch and/or dinner...
What prompted this review, was the potential for a horrible experience when I was picking up food to go for myself and three coworkers. It was at the top of the busy lunch hour and there was confusion regarding our orders; I think at one point two of the orders were completely missing? Payton, the employee behind the counter, did her best to try to sort things out. Audrey, the manager, and the chef (not sure of his name), stepped in to promptly address what orders they had cooking in the kitchen and what was possibly missing. Based on how busy it was, this could have been a disastrous wait! They very calmly and patiently addressed the issue, confirmed the orders, and I was out of there in no time. All four orders were prepared to perfection!!
THANK YOU, THE LOOP! Cheers to another 10+ years of me supporting...
