So either something is wrong with me or I’ve found another gem. Nothing is quite like this place. I mean Mr. Tokyo is what it reminds me of but Rainbow Sushi… this is something serious. The menu is enormous front and back and guess what? It’s all YOU can EAT 💥👏
You’ll take notice that everything on the front and the back of the menu is included in the one price you pay. If you choose anything from the brown shaded menu side it’s a little more. I didn’t need anything on the brown menu and what I got was amazing. Everything was so fresh and care is taken that’s the beauty of a place like Rainbow vs a typical hibachi buffet or something. This is literally one of the best sake places around that I’ve seen in Jacksonville Beach.
The ambiance is nice and the biggest thing is the staff is so sweet. They’ll always come and check on you to make sure everything is going just right. Some people said they waited a little long for orders and I didn’t mind any wait though unnoticed as I was just watching shows and TikTok anyway lol
If you have been to Fuji sushi this is like that but BETTER! MAybe even the best but you’ll have to be the judge and let me know what you think. Much nicer place, nicer staff and prices are spot on. There could be a small delay but for me with the freshness and flavor here I don’t mind the delay one bit. YMMV
Rainbow Sushi definitely has my heart and I know I’ll be back and bringing family and friends next time. Thanks for the hospitality and for seating me and the people in front of me 5 minutes before you actually opened that was bomb 🔥
There's so much I have to try next time. I posted what I got and it is highly recommended! It's right by Publix so you can go eat and then do your grocery shopping in one swoop. Better yet place your order online for pickup and then by the time you're done eating your groceries are bagged and ready to roll. The biggest thing to remember is order only what you can eat because every piece leftover or wasted costs 50 cents. I had no issues and smashed everything they brought out. A++
Check me out...
Read moreFirst time here, my boyfriends order was misplaced and I ended up getting my food before him when he ordered 10 minutes before me. I never received an item on the order which wasn’t a widely huge deal because the food was mediocre. You definitely pay for what you get for here, on a scale I’d say a step above gas station sushi and a step below grocery bought. The fish that topped the rolls were inconsistently warm and cold when sushi should always be freshly sliced cold. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so rushed to finish my meal and leave when the restaurant hasn’t even closed yet. The servers just kept making awkward eye contact for me to hurry when it was 8:40 on a sunday. One server looked hispanic or mixed and was great kept checking on us for refills and anything else we needed for our order. But two other men that were serving us and the first that sat us was a blonde man he just disappeared completely. Then the last one (taller brunette man) came and when we sent raw sushi back because it was warm like it was sitting out, made a comment about “if he could swish his hands in someone’s bowl of soup when they say it’s cold and tell them it’s not he would” not even 5 minutes after. Right in front of me as he was waiting for me to pay. I just find it highly unprofessional to make your frustrations into jokes with coworkers in front of the guests. Not to mention I was the last table to leave and half way through my last roll. I’ve served for 5 years at various restaurants in Las Vegas and California including sushi and korean bbq but this place was just a disaster. The man who took care of us is the only reason I rated it 2 stars because I appreciated the effort. I live 6 minutes up the street and immediately felt ill and was in the restroom because my stomach...
Read moreIt was our first time here and I'm not sure I'd go back because how terrible the service is. Two of the male servers were so rude and just made the experience unfavorable with their snarky remarks and attitude. The one server made everything we asked for seem like a huge ordeal. We had to ask for utensils and napkins twice.
Overall, the food was okay which is why I gave it 2 stars. The fish was very fresh and the sashimi was cut very well. The soft shell crab roll was a little less fresh. The hibachi steak (chewy) and noodles (smushy) was a little overcooked. BUT we also had to wait a long time for the first round of orders. We finally started to receive our food like 30 minutes after placing the orders and we barely got our second round of orders in. I will say that the second round of food arrived fairly quickly though. The Asian female server was a little nicer and seemed to do a little more work than the other 2 servers but their ordering system without any seating indicators made it hard to get the orders to the right person for a table of 5 and some of the food orders were mixed up. Unfortunately, some of the items we ordered were never even received.
We arrived around 8pm so we weren't there for long but the servers began rushing us to get out around 9 even though they close at 9:30. One of the rude male servers started sweeping around our table at 9. While the food was alright, I'm not sure it was worth dealing with the amount...
