Vinny's Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Let me start by saying my girlfriend and i was looking forward to some good fashioned Italian food. I was sorely disappointed, The server was nice enough and we ordered our appetizer which was garlic rolls The rolls themselves were decent Sorta doughy but alright. Than we ordered our entrées My girlfriend got the eggplant Parmesan And i got a pepperoni calzone. All i can say is honestly is wow My girlfriend said hers was fine enough.by no means the best thing she has ever had but edible But mine was horrible I myself have worked in a pizzeria before and have experience making Calzones The bottom was so saturated that the ricotta was just sitting in a pool of grease on my plate alongside the mountain of cheese just crushing the bit of foundation it did have On top of it the pepperonis were very far and in between and the bread on top was hard as a rock. There was so much ricotta that it was overwhelming even for a lover of ricotta such as myself. It was so bad that I didn’t finish 75% of it Only eating the parts to see if it was only one of it that was made that way Skimming through the outer layers of it to get any part of it that was not going to send me into cardiac arrest. Now the worse part of this experience was the attitude of the server. I had walked to our car to wait for my girlfriend to finish and she paid the tap Upon her saying that I didn’t care for it the server went to grab the check and didn’t inquire further Not asking why I didn’t like it or what she could do Just went to grab the check and ignore the obvious almost full Calzone right there in front of her Let me tell you for a restaurant to ignore a unfinished dish in front of them is a disgrace to any food establishment i been too and than to not even investigate further to what they can do to make your experience there better is unprofessional and a bad example of what to do in restaurant industry . DO NOT GIVE VINNY's YOUR BUSINESS. FAKE CHEESE, GREASY CARBONARA, RUDE and way over priced! Check other reviews! They don't answer their phones, which I was amazed at, though apparently, this is normal. Went in to order at 6 pm. Ordered 2 large pizzas and Fettuccini Carbonara. Price was $80! They said it would be ready @ 7:30 pm, it was not busy at all. I asked about cannolis and she said, do you want them or not? We're not filling them at 7:30 pm to which I declined. So RUDE! Sent my daughter and son to pick up. They acknowledged their arrival and then disappeared. At 8pm, I called. Virginia the cashier finally appears from her cave and answered. I said my kids are there to pick up an order she said yeah and hung up! My kids witnessed it! Called back over 20 times again my daughter said she was ignoring the calls! Finally get the order @ 8:30 pm. My kids arrive home in 5 minutes. Pizza was COLD. We put it in the oven and cheese wouldn't melt. This means cheese is fake! The piza seemed like someone was high and loaded it with a ridiculous amount of oregano. Fettuccini Carbonara was floating in grease, had tons of oregano (who puts that in their carbonara) and no cheese! Called back next day to talk to Virginia calmly about hanging up on me and ignoring my callbacks. She yelled out, "Don't come here anymore we don't want your business" and hung up! Read other reviews. Someone witnessed Vinny beating the cashier. Though she probably deserved it, it's not right to hit anyone! Take your business elsewhere where it is deserved, not treated as if they are doing you a favor and food...

I have visited many times loved the food but this one time I went to buy food for a family kids just loss both parents they was hungry Two was allergic to the bread I ask to cancel it the lady got very rude and nasty and start yelling at me and continue to talk nasty her and a second lady at that point I ask can I please have me money back I spend over 40 dollars She refused me and continue to be rude I said ma’am you see you the reason people have gotten upset with buisness people and start violences with guns I never said I would do it or threaten anyone she lied and said she calling police cause I threatened them I called police they made a report yes I’m taking it to court not only for disrespect because they was also racist by say you type of people to me and said more to I started to cry and walked out she still refused my money trying to force me to take food after all of that I left no food no money then the brother called to try get the food because kids was hungry she got rude to him and said f you take it to court she left kids hungry and sad I have three other people that will be going to court that also witnessed her bad acts and behavior and I also have a video of it all once everyone she and hear her being racist irs going hurt her buisness I try...
