South Padre Streetfood — Restaurant in Janesville

I placed an order through Doordash shortly before noon on a Thursday (they were open - you can't place a DD order if they're not open after all). The driver got to the truck shortly after noon to find it completely closed. Supposedly they're open 11-7.

So I didn't get any food and had to deal with an annoying Doordash refund (they weren't going to refund the delivery or tip originally) , and Doordash loses the cost of delivery and the tip... All because South Padre doesn't know how to manage Doordash.

Edit: I don't believe the response. First, I checked with your own website and Doordash to see if you were open. It's not Doordash's fault you weren't open when your own site claims you were.

And second, you've had months if not years to figure this thing out with Doordash. They're not perfect, but they are extremely responsive when you contact them. If you haven't solved this issue by now, the fault is yours and you're doing something wrong.

Editing again to say I went to the Milton Food Truck rally to give this truck another chance because it specifically said they would be there 10-2. They were not there from 11-1 when I was. What is it with this place not being where they're supposed to be?? I would lower my review into the...

We ordered catering from South Padre Streetfood for 24 people and everything was amazing! People were raving about the shrimp scampi and lobster mac'n'cheese. The crab cakes were the die for, maybe the best I've ever had! We also ordered crawfish etoufee (a personal favorite of mine) and the mussels. Chad delivered on time for our party and even brought extra bread and rice for our group even though we hadn't ordered any. An overall delicious experience.
