Pistol Pats Family Diner — Restaurant in Jay

Our waitress was not very friendly, and it took a long time for our food to come out. Three people in our group got their meals first, but they wanted to wait for the rest of us before eating. By the time the rest of the food arrived, their meals had already gone cold. When the plates finally came, they were stacked on top of each other so some of the food ended up smashed.

Another staff member (not our waitress) brought out a few of the burgers and seemed unsure of what was on them, so she started deconstructing them with her bare hands right at the table. Watching someone touch our food like that was pretty off-putting and made me question the cleanliness behind the scenes.

As for the food itself, it was average. My meal was okay but nothing special. The brisket one of my friends ordered was so dry that even with barbecue sauce she couldn’t eat it.

Overall, our group didn’t enjoy the experience and I don’t see us...

To start with, the place is filthy. We should have left prior to ordering. The floor is ground in dirt and food. Our breakfast order took a full 40 minutes in spite of the fact that there were only 6 others in the restaurant. My order came absent the sausage I ordered. My eggs over easy were grossly overcooked and were burned crispy on the bottom. My hashbrowns appeared to have never touched grill and my gravy was served at room temperature. My wife's hashbrowns were cooked on one side only and her scrambled eggs were burned. Perhaps the worst breakfast in this area. Given the proximity to the county health department, one has to question why this place...

I actually post -5 (negative)stars I will NEVER go to that hole in the wall again. I waited over a hour for 3 burgers that were so salty they would put the dead sea to shame and a hamburger steak dinner that was a burned "beef" patty with no gravy or onions. There was one(1) cook and he obviously didn't know how to cook more than one item at a time! This place is a joke....
