Sakura Japanese Steak House — Restaurant in Jefferson City

I went here on a date with my boyfriend and we wanted to do the habtchi, it was very pretty and nice coming Into the restaurant. I had a good time but I wished there was more room because the were alot of other people around the habtchi. I felt like alot of the time I didn't have enough elbow room to comfortably eat. With the food that I ordered I ordered a roll that was posted on the basic Google pictures on the restaurant and off there website, it looked really good in the photos and I was really excited to munch down on it. When the roll had come out it look nothing like the photos at all, it was a basic California roll with a dot of I assumed spicy mayo. I was just kinda disappointed and I didn't want to say anything because our waiter had brought us the wrong appetizer with the sushi roll and it was awkward already telling him we didn't order that. So going past that we were starting the habtchi and me and my boyfriend and another lady had asked for the noodles instead of rice and when the started cooking I noticed something odd, the noodles were Spaghetti noodles, I don't knownif this is normal but any other place I've been has been usually lo-mein or rice noodles and seeing Spaghetti through me off. I ordered take out because it was 920pm and they close at 10. I walked in with another person and the hostess was so kind and very happy and willing to seat us, even so late. They had my pickup order ready to go and it was very nicely packed with everything I needed in it and more. The take out containers are very nice and don't fall apart in your lap...you could probably dishwash and use again is the kind of quality they were. The sushi rolls and the ramen I got looked great presentation wise and tasted amazing!! Very filling too. I think the eggs in the ramen had been soaked in a wine and they tasted so good against the umami flavor of the ramen. We haven't gone to do dine in yet but we will definitely go back and I am sure that it will taste even better fresh to the table! The inside was beautiful and clean. Well worth the wait! I have been not so patiently waiting for it to open as soon as I saw what was under construction....

Fuji is a million times better! Don't waste your time or money here. Eat at Fuji!!!!

We ate here last Sunday. We weren't allowed to pick where we wanted to sit around the Hibachi grill like we can at Fugi. We had a big party, but they insisted we keep the last 3 spots open in case a small party came (which never happened). Fuji NEVER does that!

The person grilling was very impersonal and only asked a couple questions. It wasn't the dinner and show we're used to with an Hibachi grill. There were 5 or 6 grills going, and it was the same there. The people grilling didn't talk or entertain.

And the food was not as good as Fuji either. The rice wasn't as flavorful. My chicken sat too long on the grill and was dry. It tasted more like turkey. My daughter kept calling it "Turkey Chicken." Our ticket was over $200. We should have gone to Fuji. It would have cost the same but been...
