I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at the O’Hare Hilton Andiamo location on election night.
I had come to the hotel bar with the intention of watching the election results and enjoying a couple of drinks. Unfortunately, I was frustrated to find that all the televisions were showing sports, rather than any coverage of the election. Several patrons, including myself, politely asked the bar manager if at least one of the TVs could be switched to CNN or another channel covering the election.
Rather than addressing the request with any understanding or willingness to accommodate, the manager responded by loudly instructing guests to stop asking or to leave. His aggressive tone and refusal to make any adjustments made the experience incredibly unpleasant. As a result, my group and I decided to leave the bar.
As a Hilton guest, I was shocked by this level of customer service and the complete disregard for the interests and comfort of your patrons. I understand there are various factors involved in managing a bar, but simply being responsive to reasonable requests, especially on a night as significant as election night, would have gone a long way.
I hope you will take this feedback into consideration, as I have always had positive experiences with Hilton properties in the past. This incident, unfortunately, left a negative impression and has made me hesitant to return to this location.
Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to...
Read moreAndiamo sits in that strange space that only an airport hotel bar can hold. After a delayed flight, with legs tired and brain running on low battery, it felt like the most practical choice. The room was lit by large screens looping through endless sports, with stranded travelers leaning into their drinks and quiet conversations. In the middle of that, Mohssine worked the bar with a kind of calm precision. He kept the counter spotless, moved with intention, and actually watched his customers. That simple act of paying attention felt rare and oddly comforting.
The food did not quite rise to the same level. The birria pizza sounded promising on the menu and turned out to be a misstep on the plate. The beef was heavy, with big chunks of fat where tender pulled meat should have been. On top of that came a thick layer of pico de gallo. In theory it made sense, in practice it pushed everything out of balance. The whole thing tasted more like a confused taco than a pizza, without the joy of either. It was still edible, just flat and forgettable. The evening ended up carried more by the atmosphere at the bar and by Mohssine’s quiet care than by what was served. In a long travel day, sometimes the memory that stays is not the meal, but the simple relief of someone behind the counter who still takes pride in...
Read moreThe customer service at this establishment did not match the ambience nor the awesome tasting food. They have a sign posted reading seating will take 30min, meanwhile there was 5 open tables. I asked a male waiter if they were seating guests. I was told no and I asked him why, he told me the cook decides when they can start seating guests. So I commented saying even while you several available tables. So I continued to wait as they sat the next person in line as I was left waiting next. When it came time for me to be seated they welcomed my party along with others. But then the couple that was seated after mine had their order and food before my table. As I was waiting on my food another couple was annoyed with waiting in line and decided to go to a table on their own and the waitress didn't bother to stop them. As I stated in the beginning the service didn't match the rest of my experience. The wings I ordered was very delicious and they had several sports on TV for entertainment. But I truly believe customer service makes up 50 percent of any business experience if not more. So I wouldn't...
