It was one of those dark, rainy nights in Chicago. Rush hour traffic slower than cold molasses. It was dinner time. Funny how hunger overrules logic. So I turned off the route I knew, at an unfamiliar intersection, to this Burger King. It wasn't busy; the flow slow but steady. While I waited a friendly couple explained how I could to get back on my route, another person came in after my order was placed, and as I left another car pulled in. Ten to twelve minutes in & out the door. For some reason it was hard for me to explain my order. The manager, Jalli, and associate were friendly and patient, and did not mind my repetition. It was worth it. The order was Perfect. 3 double whoppers: on the cheese each patty had cheese (not just the top); all 3 neatly creased and wrapped, no leaks, labeled so I knew what they were. Nothing over or under cooked. I ordered heavy everything and got it: LOADED with lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, pickles and ketchup! YUM! They did not stint on anything. I hear someone saying calm down. Unh Unh. I don't do this much any more. When I do, it's a MAJOR treat. The restaurant itself was clean, neat, well lit and hygienic. Plenty of seating areas well maintained - like I could bring in my family and feel comfortable in one of their booths. Even the waste disposal and surrounding area was free of any debris. Contact free pouring for liquid refreshments. The burnt orange decor and light brown tables seemed suddenly more seasonal this close to Halloween 🎃. No specific decorations - probably due to COVID 😒. Plenty of parking. Adequate lighting. All employees and customers wore masks and the right way. I accidentally found this, and was richly rewarded. Read morePicked up my pops from a doctors appointment and he wanted some coffee. Stopped off at this location on Belmont at about 2pm, was told that it would be about a 5min wait. Figured they would just have to brew a fresh pot of coffee. Sitting at the drive thru window we would see all the employees laughing and joking. Meanwhile 2 mins later I was handed a large coffee and no receipt. My father was soo disappointed and disgusted with what we were served. There literally was no coffee just hot water and creamer. This is my most visited location due to the proximity to my child’s school. Made more sense why we were not given a receipt so that we wouldn’t be able to express our disappointment and leave a negative review. Feeling upset I called the manager (Merced) to share my experience and frustration but worst yet was her response. She just simply stated to come back and I would get another cup. Like sure, that makes sense?!??, go back to the location and tell them I’m the guy that complained about the concoction they served and that I’m back for another…..like they wouldn’t serve me another cup of hot water with spit or some other disgusting garbage they would serve. I’m basically telling the manager that at the very least they should check the timers on they’re coffee and they should speak to whoever was in charge of the drive thru at the moment and take the time to coach your team better. Read moreI went to this location on Tuesday September 29th because I was in the area. I have never been treated so horrible by Burger King staff anywhere as I was treated here. The drive thru staff was very rude and disrespectful. I had a coupon to use that took a little while to upload and drive thru employee was being very inpatient. There were no cars behind me so she did not have a reason to behave that way. Then when I got to window, she didn't want to accept the coupon and was speaking to me in a nasty way. I told her I had $6 I'm cash and to put the remaining balance on my debit card. She kept asking me how much to put on my card when she could have clearly did the math herself. She kept shaking her head as if I was the reason why she was annoyed with me. I told her to have a nice day, then when I got to my order, it was not even prepared the way I asked.
