Fabulous new sandwich restaurant. Friendly staff and owners (chef Becca and Cam) doing their best to serve their customers. Recommend order at least 30minutes ahead before pickup food. Order food online. There is very minimal space for sit-down and currently not available for sit-down due to COVID. They are right on the the dot when you pick up or wait in the restaurant for your order. They offer a diverse type of sandwiches including 3 vegetarian sandwiches and few sides. The chefs are supporting local businesses and local farms to provide the fresh ingredients and breads. We ordered the Cubano Tofu Sandwich is an absolute must or get the non-vegetarian Cubano sandwich. The veg version consist of the best local Phoenix Beans Tofu, Pickle Prince pickled is surprisingly good, Chipotle aioli, local swiss cheese, and mustard butter on a truly warm grilled fresh ciabatta buns from pHlour Bakery. Also, ordered the Roasted C.A.M. which is filled with farm fresh roasted carrots, sliced apples, and mushrooms including fontina cheese and basil aioli on ciabbata buns. It was a pleasant surprise the combo of veggies worked well with the apples and aioli. We also ordered a side dish of the scrumptious Israel couscous mixed with carrots and broccoli. Lastly, the desserts is a must to try. We selected two tuber donuts that is made with wheat, potatoes and fried in clarified butter. The Pinky Duster which is sprinkled with yummy freeze dried raspberries sugar. Truly delicious especially if you like berries! The Fries in your Frosty is worth eating as well. Chocolate ganache glazed topped with crunchy potato fried flakes. It taste like a sea salt chocolate donut. Both donuts took us by surprise including the sandwiches. I hope they get to expand into a larger space for more indoor...
Read moreA cute little sandwich shop in Avondale with a tiny interior space— just one small booth and a couple bar chairs for indoor seating. It wasn’t too packed on a Sunday afternoon though, and my friend and I were able to get seats. They have a unique, creative, and expansive selection of vegetarian sandwiches, which is what initially drew us here. Although the sandwiches were good and they were packed / filling enough to be worth the price, I came in with high expectations that came a little shy of being met.
My friend and I got the Tofu Cubano and Crispy “Frosted” Cauliflower sandwich. I was a little disappointed by the presentation of the Tofu Cubano. The ratio of tofu vs. other ingredients listed on the menu was off to me— it’s packed with two big squares of tofu and sauce, but not much else. The bread was delicious, crunchy and and well toasted, and the sauce was very flavorful, but I wish they put more of the other ingredients inside for a more complex texture and flavor profile. The tofu itself was also not very well seasoned— the sauce and bread carried all the flavor of this sandwich.
I liked the Cauliflower sandwich better: Aesthetically, it’s a very tall sandwich that’s hard to fit in the mouth. The cauliflower was flavorful and well fried, with a good mix of sauces and other ingredients. The bun was soft and well toasted. I definitely recommend this one over the Tofu Cubano, which is a shame because based on the menu at least, the Tofu Cubano had so much potential and I was really looking forward to it.
Otherwise, the service was quick and friendly. You order the sandwiches on a screen at the front and they call your name...

This sandwich shop had been on my radar for a while, so when I spotted their fantastic Restaurant Week deal—$30 for two sandwiches, two sides, and a dessert—I jumped at the chance. And for the most part, it did not disappoint.
We ordered the Cubano and Turkey sandwiches, and while both were enjoyable, the Cubano stole the show. The combination of savory, tender meat and perfectly crisped bread made it a standout. The Turkey sandwich, on the other hand, was solid but unremarkable—good, but nothing groundbreaking.
Where the experience took a hit was in availability. At noon on a weekend, during Restaurant Week, they were already out of both the Potato Salad and Banana Pudding—two items I had my heart set on. A letdown, to say the least.
For sides, we settled on the Broccoli Ranch Salad, which was fresh, crunchy, and nicely dressed without being overwhelming, and the Crinkle Fries with Pepper Jack Cheese, which were comforting, crispy, and satisfyingly cheesy—a definite win. Since banana pudding wasn’t an option, we went with the Tuber’s Donut, which was warm, soft, and a sweet ending to the meal.
The shop itself is tiny and a bit cramped, but despite that, the overall experience was very enjoyable. The food quality is undeniably high, though I wish they were better stocked. Would I return? Yes—but hopefully, next time, they’ll have everything...
