Update: 5/23/21. Ordered two double whoppers as carryout. One with double cheese no onions, one no cheese. Once home, No cheese AT ALL and a few onions despite instructions. Girl at counter told assembler instructions IN SPANISH. Also amount of lettuce minimal - not heavy on absent cheese. Other double whopper fine. No pickles available. No mark on wrapper indicating what was inside. As for the store 5:53pm Sunday evening: Only one of two hand sanitizers worked. No air conditioning on 83 degree day. I was the only customer besides 1 car drive up. No excuse for this. IF the assembler in multiple languages cannot follow instructions, AND the girl at the counter WAS CLEARLY NOT trained to double check accuracy before shoving an order into a bag, THEN this is NOT the Burger King you actively promote. I will go elsewhere. BTW. You know how Burger King asks "Do you want to be contacted about this?" I responded YES. As of June 1st No call. No email. NADA.
Update: 3/28/19. Steady slow stream of folks via drive-through and walk-in. Finally: The burger I wanted. Extra now called "heavy". Extra Lettuce Extra 🍅 (15 cents) Extra onions Extra pickle Extra mayo Extra ketchup on double whopper ($5.59) - which was starting to fall apart. WONDERFUL. By the way. Entry tricky traveling South on Lincoln. Due to the concrete raised medians you cannot enter at the actual entrance. You have to turn left into the one of two outgoing exits. Don't do it. The lanes to the drive through are too narrow, deliberately made for one lane traffic. That is a pain in the neck.
Update: 1/28/19. Cold, icy slickery snow & sleet outside. Around 4pm. Only a few walk-ins- 7 cars lined up in drive though. Missed the designated wc seating before. New artsy branch room dividers. Fries not that great even with ketchup & salt. Told the guy I want the big double whopper like I see in the commercial. Not the XL with its special sauce. Plenty of lettuce. Mayo. 🍅. Onions. Yes I wound up with the double whopper. (See pics) Not the one in the commercial. Still my longing goes unrequited...
Have you ever noticed that when you haven't eaten something for a while, that it's just not what you remembered? Somehow lack-lustre? That's how I felt here. First the service. Quick? No waiting? Yes..Uninspired, bordering on ennui? Kinda It was a hot day. Pleasant inside. Grabbed a couple of Whoppers. 2 for $6 why not? Plenty of seating. Two LED TV's on either end of the dining area for before, during or after meals. Clean fountain for drinks. Very small sign warning dining area for BK food & folks only - and don't Dilly dally either. No loitering in other words. So the Whopper - looks like charcoal broiled, not exactly the best Angus, oddly chewy. Bun fresh as were the pieces of iceberg lettuce, 🍅, onion and pickle. Just not what I remember. Not as good..About 6 folks in the dining room. Funny I never knew Burger King was historic - in business since 1954. Have it your way. Coffee, drinks, healthy options, kids menu. All here. At...
Read moreI go to this location once a week on my way home from work. I order the same thing every time and it is usually always right and I get everything I order. This time and the time before (about 2 weeks ago) my order was taken by a very rude young man. I ordered cinna minis (on the dessert menu) and was told they didn't have any and then that they were only available for breakfast. As far as I know, they are supposed to be available all the time, at least they are at other locations. So, today I tried to order them again and that same rude young man barked at me that they are only for breakfast and when I asked why they were on the regular dessert menu he all but yelled at me that they don't have any and they are only available during breakfast. Are they out of them or are they only available during breakfast? My guess, he's lying. But, that's neither here nor there. When he took my payment he snatched my card out of my hand. He didn't say thank you, offer a smile, he didn't make eye contact and I didn't receive a receipt. I was going to ask to speak to a manager but this guy's attitude and demeanor actually kind of scared me so I just took my food and drinks and left. I won't be returning to this location, I will go out of my way to avoid it and go to the one in Skokie. They are much nicer. Also, don't I get something for free if they don't give...
Read moreI placed an online order today through the app for chicken fries and I was supposed to receive a complimentary large order of french fries. When my mom went to pick up the order they did not have a record of it and said my mother would have to pay cash if she wanted the chicken fingers and there would be no free order of french fries. However, although my mother made this transaction in cash I see that my credit card was still charged for the chicken fingers. The email confirmation I received in the afternoon stated that I paid for the chicken fingers, with my credit card, and would receive a complimentary order of French fries. I've tried calling the store phone number many times and it keeps saying that the number is no longer in use and is disconnected. Is this standard procedure for Burger King to charge a customer twice for the same order by asking for cash at the restaurant and then also charging the credit card of the...
