Taco Bell 3511 W Devon Ave, Chicago, IL 60659
I have been going to this Taco Bell since it is in our neighborhood for years. It is usually horribly managed and I accept it because it is out of my control but tonight at around 7:40 pm - 8pm it was like living in a ghetto nightmare.
Rap music with multiple f bombs and the typical ignorant mumble about who cares what. But my wife and I spent 64.00$ and had 4 little girls (ages 8 - 12) with us trying to sit and hurry up and eat.
After a while of accepting the volume on 8 out of ten, accepting the garbage rap (The Roots would have been more enjoyable), and seeing our kids with their eye brows raised every time the dude dropped his f bomb we walked up to speak with the manager.
A short Hispanic lady that spoke perfect English said the manager’s name was Sam. I asked for the last name of the manager and she said she was not allowed to tell people the last name of the store manager. So I asked for her name and she said her name was Petra and quickly walked away to the back of the store (should all be on video if the owner is reading this) Then I asked a different short Hispanic young female employee and a Hispanic taller young male and not only did no one know the managers name but the one lady said the other one was not telling the truth.
Then my wife got involved and started speaking Spanish and low and behold not only was English and comprehension an issue but fluent Spanish was equally perplexing for this group of degenerate employees. It was like speaking to a bunch of five year olds that just got caught stealing candy and were too ignorant and lacking integrity to give an honest answer to anything. Then (Pesta or Petra whatever her name was said for us to have a nice night and basically walked away again).
Thankfully everything was recorded on video and will be submitted to the corporate office and who knows were else for everyone to have a firm reminder of the mismanagement and disgraceful conduct that this hilarious group of individuals believe is conducive to that poor owner making a profit.
I have easily spent over 1000.00$ this year at this location and always with a team of kids because they love fast food 😔 and yes I need to stay home and cook more and have made bad food decisions this year but that is besides the point.
When a customer pays 64.00$ with multiple little kids at the very least they should have their concerns addressed by management and in an ideal world they should be able to eat in an environment that does not condone conditioning little girls to be gangsta rappers no matter how good of a living they make spewing ignorant nonsense.
It is sad sign of the times when individuals cannot have the essential decency, integrity, or plain humanity to function successfully at a job as an employee at a fast food...
Read moreSTOP READ!!!🤢🤮Worst Taco Bell for online orders and pick-ups! 💩💩💩 If you have your orders being picked up from this location don't expect your orders right away I know from experience. This location has a preference for customers on the spot first and then the orders online. I stop twice today 3-29-2020. To pick up two orders that were done online. It took me about 9 minutes on my first order to arrive to this location from where I was. Only drive through was open. As, I got to the intercom to ask for the order I was there to pick up I was told that they had not started on my order to please drive out and come back again or park on the parking lot that I would only hold the line if I stay there and that their time was valuable. I ended up waiting 20minutes for that order and it was only a party mix order of tacos. On my second order it took me 7 minutes to arrive at the Taco Bell location. Shockingly but not surprice it took me 40minutes to get that order and take it to a customer. To top it off the drinks were not seal properly with the lids the bags were not seal with the Taco Bell sticker I had to seal everything and as soon as I got the order I was told I needed to move because I was holding the line. I was sealing everything because if there is something missing I want the customer to know it wasn't on the pickup side it was on the packing and making side. I did explain to the customer the situation and to please check her order was complete. The manager on duty I believe seem to be a short Hispanic with and attitude and I don't have anything against Hispanics because I am Hispanic. I lost 1 hour at this Taco Bell what should had only taken no more than 5 minutes. Cost me a lot of money. I will never again pick up at this location and I will never buy at this location. Because I was treated very unjustly by this staff and management. I VERY STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. Save yourself a headache and go and support another franchise where business is appreciated and you are treated with respect and dignity. My only error was that I was trying to help this business make money by delivering their online orders. But treating me like I didn't matter just because I wasn't the direct buyer doesn't give them the right to treat me any less. I still was a potential buyer! Not no more. If I could give no...
Read moreMy service experience started off on the wrong foot and only got worse from there. When ordering through the drive thru, I was met with an unpleasant attitude from the server. He was also very impatient as we were trying to order (even though there was no one in line behind us). Someone in my car had ordered a separate mobile order and we were trying to pick it up in the drive thru as well. I made that clear and was met with no opposition. Then when he handed me my order, he said I needed to pull around to the mobile pick up (wish he would have mentioned that when I originally ordered, but ok). I then asked, "where is that?" He responded with an irritated tone and started with "Well if you would have listened to me the first time..." I was stunned because I was genuinely asking where the mobile pickup was, because I have only taken out drive thru. Also, it was very hard to hear him due to the fact that he spoke quietly and didn't project his voice. I said "alright, thanks" and he responded with "you don't have to be rude about it". That really rubbed me the wrong way because all I did was ask a question.
I get that my order was unconventional. I understand that service at Taco Bell isn't a Michelin star experience. It's just fast food. Having worked jobs like that, I totally get why fast food workers wouldn't be chipper for every interaction. But from top to bottom, that Taco Bell employee made me feel unwelcomed and had an attitude that he can't be bothered.
And when I opened my bag, a couple of the hot sauce packets has leaked out and all over my order. So that was really just the cherry on the sundae.
I come through here once a week, and after this experience, I...
