Definitely one of the most interesting, and possibly my favorite experience at a Chipotle's ever. Decided to try the brisket, and as I always do, asked for lots of sour cream and cheese; well, Chris behind the counter certainly delivered.
Now, usually when I make this request, I get maybe 50% more than I would normally have gotten tops... This time, I got a nice heaping spoonful, maybe 2x the normal amount of sour cream, and then he went back in for another scoop for a total of roughly 300% the amount of sour cream... And then he moved to the cheese.
The ⅓ pan of cheese was probably about ¼ to ½ full of cheese at this point, and Chris went in, two big gloved hands, and grabbed the entire contents of the cheese, "is this enough?" He asked, a small smile on his face. "Maybe a little less than that..." I replied. Well, sure enough, he took almost that entire pile of cheese, minus a little bit, and piled in on top of my bowl 3 inches high. At this point, I am no longer able to keep my amusement quiet, and the laughter starts. I smiled as he poured on the sour cream, having to stop him after the second scoop, I chuckled when he grabbed the 2 mitt fulls of cheese, and burst out laughing as he struggles to squeeze everything in under the tiny little aluminum lid. His first attempt didn't go so well, but after grabbing a knife, and sliding the oozing sour cream back inside the bowl, he finally managed to fit the mass of dairy deliciousness into it's confinement.
Was my bowl delicious? Absolutely! Did I need that much cheese and sour cream? Absolutely not. Am I going to complain? Not in...

We went to this chipotle last week and the guy at the food counter was clearly high in some way. He was staring off into space, struggling to comprehend basic instructions, and making tons of basic mistakes like trying to out crispy tacos into a kids meal tray for some reason. I had to correct his mistakes and tell him how to do his job multiple times. When we checked out there was a crowd of people by the register waiting to exchange or return orders with mistakes in them.
Okay, one bad week can be forgiven. We came back just now and were told their system was down and they were only accepting online orders. But they were “making it right away as soon as the order comes in.” So we submitted an online order and waited around for 15 minutes while they made other orders for people who weren’t waiting around the restaurant. Then they made more mistakes in our order like making soft instead of crispy tacos and giving the wrong size drink.
Go here if you want them to waste your time and mess up your order. Otherwise, pick a different...
Read moreThe BEST Chipotle to go to if you live in Logan Square. The one on Addison is an utter joke compared to this location. This Chipotle whether it be busy, or slow, the staff are always fair and generous with their portions. They always serve fresh beautifully prepared and seasoned items. Have never had a bad food item from this location EVER! The staff when I came in on Christmas Eve gave me an employee comped meal just before closing, of which I tipped them very generously. There are great employees working here all the time!
The staff although look very overworked, have been courteous, kind and helpful whether busy, or slow. I’ve never felt skimped once leaving this Chipotle. The only critique I have is the lobby tables tend to be dirty pretty much all the time, and the food prep line has lots of cross contamination. However, these aspects don’t bother me, as I have no allergies, nor dine in. But something to think about if these bother you. Will continue to come here, thank you Chipotle Western!
