Under Bar — Restaurant in Lake View Township

I usually come here and there’s never an issue. Expect for this night 04/26/25 .. a guy asked me what I was drinking and I told him a Vegas bomb and he said to order a drink and he’ll pay for it, so I did I told the bartender I wanted a Vegas bomb and it’s on this guy blah blah blah. He then told me that “ I know what you’re doing.. trying to put in on a tab when it’s not yours.. do you wanna get kicked out?” I was so confused because IDK where this is coming from. He walked away and I was trying to get him attention because there seems to be a miss communication and I even apologized and said there’s must be a miss communication and I’m trying to explain a gentleman offered to buy me a drink and he did not even try to hear me out and continued to accuse me of trying to put it on someone’s tab. Remind you I was NOT hostile at all very calm trying to explain the situation and he did not want to hear it. This was the second attempt of trying to explain the situation, then the gentleman tried to talk to me and asked me what was going? Why was the bartender acting like that? I told him I don’t know please talk to him and explain that the drink would be for me. He then told him he wanted a Vegas bomb and that it would be for me so he nodded and agreed. So I grabbed the drink and he then YELLED SHE NEEDS TO BE KICKED OUT and security flashed the light on us telling us to leave. REMIND YOU I was never once being hostile or aggressive, just simply trying to explain the situation. He was clearly ASSUMING AND being VERY STEREOTYPICAL accusing me. This place has been my go to place for a while due to the great music but recently not so good. The past weekend my friends and me decided to go on a girls night out but we were refused entry. They had us standing outside for more than 30mins. More people were leaving than people going in and those who were let in were selected by security. Someone who had just walked in line, not even 5 mins of waiting went ahead of us. I was surprised due to the fact that we have never had an issue here. They could’ve just told us that we were not going in so 1. We wouldn’t be standing in the cold forever and 2. We could’ve just left somewhere else sooner. Under bar is great but your security needs a little refresher on how to work a line and also to keep it in the pants. Stopped in for a quick beer and shot after work (3am). I gave him my card after ordering two beers and a shot and he gave me a pos to sign with no price. I asked, “how do I tip?”, He said he charged me $34 and tip is included for 2 small beers and a shot of jamo (not regular size beers, 12oz plastic cups.) I’m refuting the charges. There’s no restaurants, bars, or clubs I’ve been to that charge these prices (Fulton Market, Wrigleyville, downtown, 18th st, state/division, Wicker Park) and this is a latin late night dive bar not a club.
