2 stars for the baba ghanoush zero stars for the rest of the food. We came in today and ordered one lamb kabob and one chicken kabab and a large baba ghanoush. The total was a little over $30 for three items, which I thought was pricey, but worth it if it's good. I asked for the lamb to be cooked rare. When we got the food home, everything was waaaaay overcooked. The chicken was super dry and the lamb was cooked to the point of no return. Everything was covered in a spice that I've never tasted in Middle Eastern food before, and my husband and I both agreed it was too overpowering and too sweet. The meal came with a salad that had an ingredient in it that had obviously gone bad and luckily we smelled it before anyone ate any of it. I know mistakes happen, but this was just too many at once, and they should NEVER serve questionable/expired food to anyone. The saving grace was the baba ghanoush, which was the BEST I've ever had, including my own recipe. I could have eaten a whole bowl of it by myself. The garlic sauce was also excellent. I don't think that I can justify going back just for those...
Read moreI ordered a large baba gnoush and a falafel sandwich. The cooler of drinks were off or broken so I wasn’t about to buy a warm drink and had to go to 7-11. They gave me a generous 2 1/2 pitas with my gnoush. The gnoush had a very strong lemon flavor, acidic and burned the lips, one note. Still edible but unbalanced. Very nicely garnished though, especially considering I got it to go. Nice touch. But the pita is so soft and white it is like wonder bread. I almost feel like I can’t hold that against them on some level but not sure why you’d use this, Kronos pita even is better than this, and they have a middle eastern grocery next door. The falafel however is where the pita really failed. It looked and felt like a Hostess hamburger bun. So soft and fluffy and totally in appropriate. I am not of middle eastern descent but I’ve had falafel all over the country and even Canada. And I can’t figure where this would ever...
Read moreI had a great experience dining at Falafel Dream, a cozy Middle Eastern and Palestinian restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and colorful decor. I ordered the hummus topped with chicken shawarma, and it did not disappoint.
The hummus was creamy and smooth, with just the right amount of tang and richness. It was generously topped with tender, well-seasoned chicken shawarma that added a savory depth to each bite. A sprinkle of sumac and fresh parsley brightened the dish.
The dining area was clean and charming, with checkered tablecloths and wall art that made the space feel vibrant but relaxed. The staff was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated the fast service.
If you’re looking for a satisfying and flavorful Middle Eastern meal in a casual setting, Falafel Dream is definitely worth a visit. Next time I’ll definitely try one of the...
