The staff here are incompetent and fail to meet commitments. I placed an order for delivery on their website, and it was more than 20 minutes late. Their delivery staff failed to follow simple instructions such as not to include utensils and napkins. Their delivery staff refused to answer text messages inquiring about the status. The kitchen staff failed to perform basic tasks such as cutting our pizza. The servings were small and lackluster considering the price. The pizza itself was disappointing as the crust was soggy and the basil was severely burnt. The most outrageous part of all is that when I ordered a $4 coke, I thought it would be a 2 liter bottle, maybe even a 1 liter. They didnt list the size on their website, but its $4 for a soda, and 2 liters cost less than $2 at super markets, so you have to be at least getting something. What did I receive? An 8oz bottle of coke. Not even Mexican coke with cane sugar but rather with corn syrup. In the attached photo you can see their $4 coke side by side with a bottle of Mexican coke. I never even knew that Coca Cola came in such small bottles, but to pinch pennies to deliver a mediocre experience, Forno Rosso managed to find them.
Considering this exceptionally poor performance I decided to call up Forno Rosso to complain. The woman who answered the phone told me that in the restaurant they only charge $3 for an 8oz bottle of coke, as presumably providing glasses with ice is too much to ask, and that if I wanted to speak to a manager. I did as he immediately began interrupting me, proceeded to engage in personal insults, and eventually threats of violence. Even more bizarrely when I mentioned that he had my address and was more than welcome to show up to my home to fulfill his threats, he cowardly declined to so.
So to summarize, if you're looking for mediocre service, delivery which takes almost twice as long as advertised, soggy pizza and grossly over priced bottles of coke, go to Forno Rosso Pizzeria. Otherwise save your money and go elsewhere, this city is full of...
Read moreI would look at the listing of this place in a restaurant search and would always pass it by as being some little hinky place in a strip mall. But I saw it on television and decided to try it. My husband and I met another couple there for dinner.
First, this no little place. The dining room is large and comfortable. It is a lovely dining space. We were greeted warmly by the GM and our server explained the difference between a Napoletana pizza and pizza we are used to: lighter, chewier crust, takes only 90 seconds to make.
We started off with a Toscano salad which was big enough for all of us to have. Our friends ordered arancini which they said was excellent, as was the salad. Three of us ordered pizzas: Margherita, Barese, Locale. My husband ordered the prosciutto di Parma pannini.
The pannini came with fries and was big enough for four. The pizzas had enough slices for everyone to have a slice with some left over. Everything was delicious though I did not care for the barese pizza.
For dessert, the GM comped us a couple of cannoli and I ordered mixed berry gelato. The gelato was heavenly and the cannoli was also good. We all had soft drinks which are not unlimited. You pay full price on the first bottle, then half price for each one after.
The bill, with tip, was $120. We would certainly go again. We would be able to order just one pizza or sandwich and a salad and drinks and have a reasonably priced meal. Glad I got over myself and picked...
Read moreForno Rosso is a very simple and authentic Italian pizzeria. The second I walked in, I felt so welcomed by the host and waiters themselves. Even though got there earlier than the rest of the group, the restaurant staff came with great attention to ask me if I'd like go wait at my table or the bar, and if I'd like anything to drink. They have an amazing selection of wine, which my waiter helped me chose just the perfect one. I waited about 10 minutes until my friends came in. We were in 4 and none of us had dinned at Forno Rosso before. Julia, my friend, said that she found out about this restaurant through Seated, and after that she heard and read good reviews about it. Why not? we decided to check it out. It was probably the highlight of my day. The food was amazing and distinct from any other pizzerias. The staff accompanied them to our table and started giving suggestions on what to order. They recommended us ordering the pizza Bianco Cavallo, and wow, we were impressed. The waiter explained how their pizza oven heats up so hot and fast. I thought it was cool because it just made their restaurant part of that speedy system, you know? When you want quick and great food, come to Forno Rosso! The food was brought out very rapidly and once we ate they offered the dessert menu. Their Nutella pizza was the best I've ever eaten! I will definitely be coming back for the amazing food and...
